#14 and #23 never come up on any site, auction, etc...Frustrating. I always see #1 and other issues.

Ok who got that 9.2 on ebay. My phone conked out during bidding. Nice grab.

Hmmmm,,,,,,, 8.5,,,,,,9.2 and 9.0,,,,,,, I love my high grade Solar's and Magnus,,,,,,,
Slowly but surely working on completing the run. It's gonna be a couple years. Now if only someone on the planet would sell me their high grade #2 Solar I could relax. Finally registered all my books on here yesterday.

I noticed that too but I thought that it was something embedded in your photo.
Maybe a pedigree stamp? I don't know either way the grade is too rough for what I want. I already have a reader.

Rust on the bottom staple?
Looks like it. And just noticed a faded stamp on the back cover.

High grades of these old books are probably locked away in PCs
Oh I know I'm picking them up one at a time though.

6.5/7.0 seems about right b/c the black background makes the spine stress show more prominently than other colors. If the corners were in better shape, 7.5 would be more reasonable. I briefly forgot about the tear art on this cover and wondered how anyone could advertise anything greater than 0.5 with long tears like that
Yeah I looked at some 7.5's on Heritage that sold and this was close to that. Looked better than the 6.5 I saw. But close enough. I can't find a 8.5 or higher of this book anywhere. Fun.

Have you checked the CGC Registry to see who owns a copy?
Oh didn't know you could do that. Pretty new at this. Edit: Thanks man. Just registered all my Gold Keys, and message a few that have ones I'm missing. Loving this now.

I collect all of these painted cover gold keys. I won't pay more than $2 for one though. I am buying them because I like the covers. This at least has the potential for a re-boot and cross-overs unlike the anthology type books (Ripleys, etc.)
I'm sure you can find plenty of reader copies of the entire run. I see them all the time on Ebay, marketplace, and mercari.
