  1. I just ordered the Compendium 1 HC which seems to be on back order, but will also order 2 and 3 this weekend. Can't wait to read through these.
  2. I am noticing these past two weeks that it is taking way much longer for them to grade regular moderns. Usually when my books this whole year have hit SFG, within days they go to GEI. Wonder if they have some kind of back up again.
  3. Are you guys seeing any long term spec with the Barends or is it probably a dump now while the fomo is going nuts with the book? It's a really cool cover, but no real big spec to it other than a tie into Hellverine.
  4. Thanks, it is good to know you didn't watch the show yet. You should check out when you can, its really good. I'll probably order Omnibus 1 this week and cool that you can still find the hardcover versions.
  5. Since I haven't read Invincible at all, but have watched the show on Amazon, does the show follow the comics for the most part? Being a Walking Dead fan, they changed so much from the comic books in the show. I was thinking of starting to pickup the hardcover compendiums for Invincible, they look really nice.
  6. I think that NYCC submissions of all kinds have slowed things down a lot.
  7. Oh jesus that is ugly as sin and one of the worst sketch variants of this run.
  8. Yes, probably is, but also now is the time too where people are trying to offload books so if you can do some research via GPA Analysis and find the right price you can still make out well.
  9. Next you will be jonesing to get a Invincible #1 CGC 9.8. I think this is such an awesome modern book to own. I know another poster above didn't care for TWD #1, but I think both books are modern books that would be worth people putting their money in when compared to all the other modern junk out there.
  10. Can't wait to hear the rest of your thoughts on the series as you keep progressing through the comps. I still have to read this series and hope to do so in the next year. Right now I've started the Batman Road to No Man's Land and on to No Man's Land. I want to re-read Batman New 52 and then never read the Dark Knights Metal series. Once I am done with these, will start to look at Invincible.
  11. Hoping that this continues to drop, would love to get a 9.8 even at a sub $2k if it can even get there.
  12. The show is very good and since I've never read the books either, it has me interested here in the near future to start picking up the Compendiums.
  13. Thank you guys for your thoughts and opinions on Geiger. I'll take a look into the trades to see how the story is. I found it crazy too that they had announced an animated series for this when there are only 6 books in the original series and then how many came out with Junkyard Joe.
  14. Now I can see too why newshane got burnt out during this time period as I had forgotten about the multiple variant covers. I am glad that since around issue 315 and going forward that the variants have slowed down to where we have been getting just 2 covers a book. It has been just so overkill in general with variants and the comic book industry that it has hurt it more than helped.
  15. Thank you for sharing this with us. I know that many of us had some of these factors in mind from the article, but it helps place more things into perspective. I fear to see what things will be like a year from now especially with it also being an election year. It is one reason to why I have been trying to get out of some of the not so great books that I have acquired the last two years because some of these probably have no chance in going back up again.
  16. I have never seen this cover in the wild while hunting for Spawn books. My favorite #220 cover is the Youngblood homage, can't wait till you post that one.
  17. It sounds like the first issue did very well and from what I was reading is that it sold out at the distributor level. That is a great thing, but hopefully we do not get a barrage of second, third, fourth, and fifty prints.
  18. How has Geiger been and is it worth hunting down the first series? Why did they stop the first series and then make some mini-series with Junkyard Joe and then now we are getting this larger shared universe. Does the main first series just introduce the main character and junkyard Joe as the main characters?
  19. That is quite a cool cover. I don't think I have ever seen this one before.
  20. They are killing it with some of these covers. I can't wait for VR#5, and the wait for TF#2 seems way too long. LOL!
  21. My one ME has been sitting in G/QC for 2 weeks now. Wonder why these books sit in G/QC for so long.
  22. Thanks! Sorry, I thought I had responded. Some of the Gears covers are truly amazing looking from an art standpoint. Did you get a chance to read this series at all? I was wondering if it was pretty good or not.
