I've seen it, but it wasn't too good - and I am a huge Blackhawk fan. If I remember, instead of each having their own planes, they tend to climb in side one big one and do a lot of running from place to place on the ground. However having Superman Kirk Allen was a plus. My dad has the regular movie size poster for the serial at home. -- That Superman 3-sheet has incredible art and is something I had never seen before. I am used to the serial posters that leave a square open so they can put the new lobby card each week without having to swap out the whole poster.

well, I don't begrudge him that so much... isn't that what all of us private collectors except the few like geppi that displays things do? Its great that it can be viewed by the public but at some level it almost doesn't make sense to have it in public hands. I can't see it being cared for the way it needs to be cared for in public hands. more likely that some teen would look at it past the ropes and leave his chewing gum on it or carve "I love Amy" on the side. It seemed from the article like the body that owns this really doesn't have the resources for upkeep and security and in fact could instead really use the money that it might garner. Theo seems to agree, however I cringe at the idea that an item should be hidden from the public and put into private hands for our own good. Theo Holstein, a California collector and renovator of such machines, said he thinks the Gypsy is wasted in Virginia City and should be placed in a private collection for proper care. He said he is trying to gather investors to make a $3 million bid that would top Copperfield's offer. "They don't have any idea what they have. Great stuff. I imagine Tec 37 would be a pricier book had the artist made that the original concept.

After seeing the three together, it is hard not to pick the All Star. Sensation is a forgotten title and the Wonder Woman cover is just not iconic (or very good for that matter).

Kind of on a tear myself. Inbetween Ambush Bug stories in the past few weeks, I have read "Up from Slavery" and the first couple Harry Potter books. I read the biographical graphic novel "Stitches" - very cool. Now I am in the middle of "Waiting for Superman" (a big FU to all the haters of teachers out there right now) and "Narrative of Frederick Douglas." It had been a long time since I really went through a book, it was about time I start back up. I am glad I did. Now I remember why I like them.

I'm trying to get my stuff all put away because I should be moving soon (moving sucks), but came across a stack of books I was worried I lost from SDCC (finding comics rocks). One of the cooler meets I had in San Diego was Robin Zander, lead singer for Cheap Trick. I had seen him in concern in Vegas two days earlier and then a person from Ape Comics posted on our forum that Robin would be signing in San Diego. I was able to talk with him for about 10 minutes (he now is into old cars, not groupies) and get the comic he wrote signed by him and the artists.
