  1. Probably a shill in there somewhere.
  2. $810.00? It's not even a very good copy (8.5 looks generous), or even a foil copy. Wonder what the winner will do when he figures out he got jobbed?
  3. The rest: slight disappointment with Fallout, looked more like a 9.8 to me These will fit in a standard comic box, just so you know.
  4. 2nd group back. Happy with most, a couple disappointments, stuff happens. Unlike comics where a factory defect is generally ignored, it counts for the games. (just so you know) Highlights: (only census to compare with right now is WATA) Morrowind Xbox 9.8 A+ (Tied for highest grade) Shadow Hearts Covenant PS2 9.8 A+ (Tied for highest grade) Red Dead Revolver PS2 9.8 A+ (highest grade) Red Dead Redemption Xbox 360 9.8 A+ (Tied for highest grade) (My next submission will have Red Dead Redemption 2 to finish out the series.)
  5. Not sure if it's still true, but it used to be that they had to change the machines around for magazines, and it was a bit time consuming. So they would wait until they had enough mags before switching the machines. So, basically they don't like mags because they don't fit the standard comic holder and the machines have to be switched. 257 days is a sure sign they hate mags. Either that, or they want to discourage economy/modern completely. There are in total 260 working days in a common year, so add in shipping and it's now about a year. Yet I can send in a modern comic and get it back in 20 days, 10 if I fast track. It's a sign, and not a good one, at least they are still grading economy/modern, for now.
  6. Merry Christmas! (or whatever) Always thought this was a lazy cover, but it's Santa.
  7. Didn't seem to be a thread, so here we go. Nothing fantastic just some I had laying around and sent to get a feel for their grading, a little curious about 9.4's with A+ seals Rarest are probably the Road Rash and Adventures of Lomax. (I expected a little higher on those 2, owell) FF7 took a hit, but the seal wasn't perfect on it, and I expected what it got. Only 3 copies of Road Rash have been graded by that other grading company, the highest is 9.2 B+ so I guess mines not horrible.
  8. Not sure how Standard Gaming has a number of graded games already, maybe they were at the show. Super Mario Bros.
  9. Not sure I would take #3 cover over #4, both are good, but there is something about the #4. It seems to have more depth to me. Have to agree #6 is probably slightly better than #5.(also mostly due to depth)
  10. Wonder what was going on at quality control for this to happen?
  11. This is an example of "Buy the book and not the label" They should have said something and sent them back to CGC, maybe too late now. I have sent books back that had an error on the label, and they fixed it for free, not counting shipping it back. (that's on your dime)
  12. Bet he can build a killer ship in a bottle. Seriously though, it's fraud and should be reported.
  13. The old switcheroo! $99 for an 8.5 #7 is a good deal, not a great looking copy.
  14. Wow, the Gallery is nice! The cover for The Shining Force looks awesome, along with the others of course.
  15. Mostly I have PlayStation 1 games, I also have some SNES, N64, Game Cube, Sega Genesis, PS 2, 3, 4, 5, Xbox, Xbox 360 & Xbox One games. I mostly try to collect games that I played and liked, I have some that are graded that may not ever be worth a whole lot. Not everything that I enjoyed has been affordable to collect either, fortunately I didn't play many NES games, so never tried to collect them. I have most of what I have been looking for, but always looking for the ones I missed early on. There are some SNES & N64 games I still look for, can't afford them, but I look. I am missing a couple PS1 games too, but I have the majority of them. One of them I am missing is Twisted Metal, missed every chance I had on that one early on, now it's impossible as they have sold for as much as $156k in the last couple of years. Decent game, but not worth that. Hopefully the crazy prices are a thing of the past, non-collector speculators have jacked up the prices on games making it difficult for the average collector, I think they moved on to Pokemon cards, inflating that market. Basically, collect what you like and enjoy, wouldn't be much fun otherwise. I'm going to send a copy of Red Dead Redemption 2 for grading and it's not very old, I just want a slabbed copy. I really enjoyed that game both single player and multiplayer. Your PS VITA games are older, hopefully in good condition, and if you can spare the money, then do it. There were some good games on that system.
  16. I have a friend that used to be division manager for EB, one day we took a couple of cases of Final Fantasy 7 to some stores in Orlando. We have talked about if we had only known, we would have bought a case and set it to the side. Hindsight is so 20/20.
  17. There is a CIB on eBay for $800 or best offer, the manual looks pretty beat though. Not a horrible price.
  18. That's pretty expensive no matter where you find it, at least for an authentic cartridge. Check Facebook marketplace, flea markets, estate sales and local stores. Lukie games has one, but at $363 just for the cart. with no photos of it. They have been selling on eBay for around $200 so $363 is a bit high IMO. You should probably get a SNES cartridge tool to open it up and verify it, before you buy one locally. There are reproduction cartridges out there, so be aware. Keep in mind they will eventually have a video game marketplace here, so you might find one here. If you are trying to buy a sealed copy, good luck, none have sold on eBay for a while. If you are wealthy enough for a sealed graded copy,(around 20k+/-) keep checking Heritage and Goldin auction houses. I always got outbid on that game (sealed), hasn't changed in the last 12 years..
  19. Picked this up yesterday when they went on sale at the limited run website, no Switch copies left, but there are some PS4 copies still.
