  1. Much like Creepy #2 the Eerie #8 cover has high clay content, it creases just looking at it. Took me a long time just to find a 9.4
  2. I think you mean Blazing Combat Anthology, it was a compilation of all 4 issues.
  3. Had the book had even a little speck of rust on a staple, I could have understood the grade, since any rust is an automatic 9.0 no matter how nice the book is otherwise. Yes, I know from experience.
  4. I was about to ask how you spelled light, you beat me to it...
  5. I understand saving the space and time, but does it help that much using 4 letters over 5? I bet a grader misspelled it 20 years ago, and they just continue using it rather than admit it was wrong..
  6. Say it ain't so....it does seem odd that Haspel is at WATA games now, and Heritage has sold some of those games for record amounts.....but surely there is no connection. I saw a game sell for over 400k (not Heritage) but graded by WATA with a damaged seal, says A seal, I guess that's correct, it does have "a seal."
  7. Just be aware they are extremely tough on magazines as of late, I had some graded recently and all came back lower than expected. Granted I took a few years off from grading until this year, but now wish I had remained that way. The worst one is this Savage Tales #2, the book is structurally a 9.6/9.8 with a tiny bindery tear at the top of the spine. I was somewhat surprised when it came back a 9.0 due to lite fading on the front cover. Lite fading? Do we have millennials grading these? Pretty sure it was spelled light when I went to school. Anyway, check the scans, it may be lite, but I know it was in a box for years and never exposed to the sun, maybe it was early or late in the production and the ink was low, who knows. All I know is the blacks look black in hand, and all the other colors look right too. Also note, the only fading is from the case glare and my scanner, actual book is very clean. (first photo)
  8. As of now, economy Magazine is 213 working days (42.6 weeks) you could have your first born, have it stolen by Gypsies, then turned into a werewolf quicker. If you prefer sci-fi over horror, it's a black hole. I got mine back last week, but I sent them standard, costs more, but the wait for economy would be painful.
  9. It got hammered due to the back cover bends, probably should have had it pressed, only a 7.5
  10. Sorta new, recently found again.. Gahan Wilson cover, with a Frazetta cover inside, along with an Adams comic.
  11. A couple of #2 non-Warrens, not what I usually submit, still thinking about sending them in.
  12. I get what you are saying, however the painting is dated '96 the same year Frank had his stroke, this is probably one of his last right handed paintings. It maybe not as nice as some of his other paintings, but it is significant in that it's one of his last. I have to agree about the statue, never had a desire for one.
  13. Here is an oddity, it's a preview for the 25th anniversary, magazine size but thin, like half a dozen pages.
  14. Mostly Chainball and NYcomics to my knowledge. One did 2 and the other 3, not sure who did which amount.. My Creepy #11 was in the very first signing, 5/10/08, Creepy #1(8.5) 11/23/08, Creepy #3 7/12/08, Blazing Combat #3 1/11/09, and Creepy #1(9.2) 5/30/09.
  15. More like 5 signings 11/23/08, 7/12/08, and 1/11/09
  16. I know exactly when my books will be back from CGC. (way after his 700, maybe the TAT will lower once he gets his done, right )
  17. At least you got an update, the rest of us are here...
  18. Have a lot more ungraded games, just waiting to clog up the new CGC game division.
  19. Have one at CGC, maybe I will get it back before 2022 Looked like a decent copy to me, will see if they agree.
  20. You should see what's in my other boxes...
