  1. Boxes for graded and Top Loaders for raw books are the way to go.
  2. Here is a Frazetta print I have not seen anywhere, it came in a book I bought years ago. edit: It came with a catalog I bought from the museum.
  3. Yeah, don't tape the cover side, lame. Also, put 2 comics face to face, nothing to indent that way. A board between them to be extra safe, or if you have an odd number of books. Never face the books out, that's just asking for a lower grade.
  4. It was pre-graded 9.6 by cgc, but somehow it took a hit from an unhappy grader.
  5. Had a few of these graded, kept the best one.
  6. Not sure it's a secret as much as an unknown since there were 2 different signature witnesses. If they kept good records maybe, I don't think CGC kept a good enough record of them either, or no one is willing to find the info. Also, on a side note, the illuminati are on their way over to your house as I type this.
  7. Guess there is only one signed 5.5 left then, there is always the 9.6
  8. Hmm, sounds like some of the books I sold you.
  9. The strange case of Dr. Heckel and Mr. Buy.... Look for it on Amazon this Fall... They would try to put it in the fiction section, sadly it's not...
  10. I'm not sure which personality I might get...
  11. The book is actually not on ebay, it's on my website. I removed the purchase button...
  12. This guy is nutz, called me all sorts of names for the past few days, telling me how I sell cracked slabs, ect. then I get this email a bit ago.. Email title:Change in mind I would like to buy one of your books. Im thinking the #4 Vampi. Let me know. *************************************************************** Umm, I'm thinking no.
  13. Seriously? Do you think it takes a month and a half to inspect a slab? Is it possible he has the only phone in the world without a camera? (told me he had a smart phone during a conversation)
  14. First he claimed I mailed it to him cracked already, yet the scan proves it was not cracked. (plus I have a witness that watched me pack the book) He then said that I sent him a random scan of some other book with the same back, but the date stamp proves otherwise. He refused to send a photo showing any damage to the slab. I was supposed to take his word that it was cracked without any proof. I doubt the slab is even cracked, he is just trying to scam some money for "reholder fees" Hope that clears it up, sorry if it was not clear before.
  15. ebay user id: michaeellio-9 Bought a book, then out of the blue a month and a half later says it arrived cracked. He refused repeated requests for a photo showing any damage to the case. The book was fully insured, but he refused to file insurance claim, yet there are 60 days to file. (which I pointed out) Lots of foul language and threats if I did not send $200 for him to get a reholder. Funny thing is, he originally requested a scan of the back, which I provided it before he bought the book. I reminded him of the scan, and sent it again. He tried to claim it was a scan from another book, but too bad for him and lucky for me, it had a date stamp on the back of the book. I sent the scan again with a red circle and arrow pointing out the date stamp... He still went on and on, but I think the date stamp took him by surprise. You might not be as lucky as me, be warned.
  16. Stop invoking my name in vain, just because Beetlejuice appears when you say his name 3 times, does not mean I will. Not my book, I think it was a raw copy I sold to NYComics, but I never had the signed version. It was not sold by this seller previously so not sure where that misinformation came from, last sale was by NYComics to this seller. Good price on it, and not sure why some people get picky about the signatures. The dude had a stroke, some are a little better than others, some days he was better than others, but it's still the same name. We were lucky to get the ones signed that were signed, it was a small window of opportunity between signature series books inception, his ability to sign, and his passing.
  17. Sadly that is true, Jr. did a lot of signing and it's very difficult to tell the difference. It's one of the main reasons I invested in signature series books over some of the other signed items. I had a go around with Jr over a drawing I bought from the museum back when Frank was still alive. He sent a drawing, but it did not match the one on the website, I am pretty sure it was Jr trying to forge Frank's work along with the signature. The one on the left is the one I thought I was buying, the one on the right was what was sent. Attached is what I sent Jr to show it was the wrong drawing. I got my money back, but it was an eye opening moment for me, I did finally get an original drawing, but not that one.
  18. Yup, got mine too, very nice. Good thing it was well packed, someone at the post office hated that box, hole knocked in, one end mashed, but the book was unharmed. Thanks again.
  19. Already have a full set....otherwise I would be interested
  20. Hard to believe Brick and Mortar stores go out of business when they make so many smart deals.
  21. Same, think we were trolled...
  22. You should either rescan the slab or at least crop out the Heritage along the bottom.
