Wow the Romantic Marriage 23 went high on ebay at $335. Crazy prices! Here's mine I paid around $100 for it. I wish I would have held on to a lot of my doubles and sold them now. I'm going to have to dig through my boxes.

And as an aside, for MM fans, and I know you're out there, here is the rare January 1946 issue of "Douglas Airview", an in-house publication, which features Norma Jeane Mortenson's first appearance on a magazine cover. And no I don't own it.
That is sooooo cool!
There is one for sale on ebay right now for $4k

Did anyone see this? I know at least one of you did.

Happy to already own one.
wow, I'm amazed at how high some of these issues are going for now.

Well, they're here.
White page St John books! Not something you see every day.
I was totally tempted to buy that TT2 but I held back.

So...you're the person with body odor...b***o on eBay. Nice, you outbid me by $15, but I wasn't willing to go any higher on that WR 17 since I already have one...hope it looks good when you get it. It's my favorite cover...
Still looking for that elusive -- and expensive! -- WTR 3.
Mine is detached from the spine and I somehow think this will be the copy I keep as I'm quite sure to upgrade could set me back multiple hundreds.
Don't mean to rub it in, but here's my copy again.
-
Absolutely. Love it. Would love to have it. Seedy. But not intentionally. That's worth going for. I'll see what I can find. Not much, I would imagine.
Does this count?
Man, the look on that guy's face!
Amazing this issue would even sell.

Maybe not quite rare but one of my favorite non-Baker romance covers.
Great book. I don't think I've seen it before.
The lady on the cover very much reminds me of Rita Hayworth. The illustrators of the day, including Baker, did look to starlets and fashion magazines for inspiration.

There might have been one or two others, I forget.
I think comixnoir fits in there somewhere as well.
Hey, what about me? I started this thread.
Well, I had to find a way to get you posting again.
And by the way, chaps, Joanna's a British woman. So there.
Jo, I figured you gave up on us 'cos you'd completed your Bakers and ridden on into the sunset a we Brits do.
Perfectly lovely to have you back with us darling.
(Now no farting in class boys, there is a lady present.)
Need any help opening doors?
You are very good, yes my heritage is British (was born there too) but I've spent most of my life in the USA. I wonder if there is actually someone who has every single Baker romance copy and not just missing an issue or two. Thanks:)

Oh and yes, I've still got it.At one point I had the goal of completing the St. John Baker romance run but now I just like to see what's happening. I think the most difficult is to acquire the original art. This is crazy. I'm glad I got in when I did as I wouldn't have the collection I do now. If I would have started now, I would have been painfully frustrated. . The most difficult issues for me were (are) The Diary Secrets Giant NN and the All Picture All True Love Story 1. Although I had the chance to bid on the APATLS 1 when it was on ebay, I decided to pass it by. I guess this just makes me happy with what I have.I'd also like to say that the All Picture All True Police Cases 2 is very difficult to get as well.
I do think I see a lot less Bakers on ebay then a few years ago. Is this the case at conventions too?
I know you meant to say APATLS 2, because I know you've got that nice CGC copy of APATLS 1. You still have it, right?
Yes, sorry about that one, old age is getting me

I was trying to find like mad a group shot of my very favorite Baker acquisition but I think it may just be long gone. I went to an auction a few years back and hidden in the midst was a Baker collectors dream, a long box with many Baker romance comics in it. This was truly my key find. Now I'm sad I can't find the picture I took of the collection. I sold off a bunch of the extras which basically paid for the ones I kept. If I do find it, I'll post the group shot.

A girl? Eeewwwww!
yeh, but she does knows the secret password...and she did start the club...she's like Darla! except she collects comics too! <3
Who would ever have thought this thread would be so popular? Baker is timeless.

Yeah, well... what have you done for us lately?
I haven't bid up any Baker books, so you all got them cheaper.

Cancel that just saw it. Wow, $1,200 for a 6.5. I sure don't ever see an upgrade in my future.

Thought the Cindy 26 went for a strong price in the CC auction. I was naively thinking I would win it for what turned out to be less than half the winning bid. I was tempted to go higher but I'm not positive that my raw copy wouldn't grade that high and I've seen a couple of other raws in that range. Still, whoever won it got a nice copy of a tough book. (thumbs u
Anyone know the venue for the Cindy 29, 5.0 that sold in June? I've been on the lookout for a copy but didn't see the listing.
I haven't been following the auctions. Could you link the page of what it sold for?
