  1. Don’t think it’s worth it; I doubt it be worth it financially, even if you did get a higher grade here.  Go up a full point and the fair market value is only a bit more than the grade you just purchased.

Definitely ask the experts if anything can be improved, but I don’t see much improvement on that book’s value with what grades are within reach.

  2. Edit 4/21: SOLD!  Thank you for your business buddy!

While I'd like to think that all the graders at CGC are experts in their respective areas, the high value graders likely have a bit more experience with different types of books...

Thanks hombre!  I had once read that the more seasoned graders tended to the High Value and Unlimited Value tiers, but wanted to run it by some folks who know much better than me here.  Just trying to figure things out.

I’ll likely divide the books up into eras too; I accidentally shipped books from the 70’s with ones from the 90’s, so I expect that may have scrambled the results too.

  5. Hey folks

Got a question: does CGC use different graders based on whether you submit a Modern Era, High Value, or Unlimited Value book?

I’ve NEVER gotten a 9.8 from an ME submission, but had alot of 9.8 books from High Value and Unlimited tiers

Just curious because I have some books that I’m getting graded, and thinking of paying extra for them to go to High Value; if there are better graders, that is.

    Thanks folks!

  6. Hey folks

    Need help figuring stuff out.

Recently I re-sent in my Thor 165 that had been graded as a blue label 8.5; after having Joey crush it on the ol’ press and clean, I was excited for a possible bump (or at least the book losing it’s dimples).

Just got the grade back from CGC, and they marked it as Restored.  I’m confused about this one…..can anyone help me figure out if I have any recourse with CGC?  I bought the book as a Blue Label 8.5, and so I’m curious if I have any grounds to claim that CGC messed up the original book grade; or even if they anyone has any idea how CGC might be able to help rectify this one?

Regardless of the outcome, thank you everyone for always helping me!  Find pictures attached too.
