  1. Corners of the front cover are not sharp enough to grade higher, just my opinion. Nice book otherwise Bill!
  2. Extremely nice looking book. Corners appear to be square and the only small blemish appears to be an imprint or dent on the back cover just across from "John Busketta" in the third last paragraph. If there are no other hidden flaws or damages....
  3. Full length crease on front cover, doesn't appear to be colour breaking and most likely will press out. Stain on the top of the back cover and some small tears.
  4. The cover presents well and there is staining from the tape that bleeds through onto the back cover.
  5. Impact damage in the top RHC of the back cover doesn't appear to transfer through to the front cover. That's a good thing!
  6. Depending on how much of the book is missing and whether or not it effects the story or the overall appearance, it may not effect the grade at all. In one of the grading tournaments a few years back there was a controversial book that had a chunk out of the cover similar to what you indicate in your post and the book had a grade somewhere around 9.2 or higher if memory serves me correctly. If any of the other boardies recall the incident maybe they'll post it here. As for your book I can't be certain that CGC wouldn't downgrade because of the missing piece or possibly CGC would leave the grade as is. Sorry if this isn't quite the answer you're looking for. Cheers!
  7. Provided there are no hidden indents, blemishes or finger imprints on the black covers anywhere I can't see anything that would hold this back.
  8. There appears to be small tears on the front cover but I can't be sure. Near Airboy's head and arm are what appear to be small tears?
  9. Thanks for the response. No, there are absolutely no spine creases on this book.
  10. If that is a transfer stain on the front running through the girl's dress? If it is I'm thinking
  11. Even with a press and clean I think the corners are not as sharp to attain a grade above A nice looking book otherwise
  12. Impact damage on front and back cover and full length spine crease
  13. Nice book but tough to grade as the defect is unusual and unique. I've not come across it previously.
  14. The edges are a little rough but overall a really nice looking book. I think because of the damage on the LRH & LLH corners and along the spine in general I'm thinking
  15. This book is clean, flat, amazing bright colours and razor sharp corners. Your honest opinions and comments are appreciated.
  16. I don't think CGC deducts much if any for pen marks on the front cover. Case in point my RR Bank Book #1 CGC grade 9.4. Other than the pen mark looks like initials on my book, but you definitely bring up a good point. I think your book will be criticized more for what appears to be the staining/soiling on the back cover. If it's stained I'm thinking 6.5 and 8.5 if it's not a stain.
