Had a more amusing one... They managed to give the same comic both blue/green labels. Both were blue prior to this ME, on 2nd ME. Sketch cover came back with some dirt/newtons too.

Sent 15-20 slabs to be cracked/signed previously. I always opt for pressing, never had any fading or grade dips. That said, it's always a gamble - so don't take the risk unless you're comfortable doing so.

I've seen them take as long as 2 weeks to record them into the system. If it's too much longer, I'd definitely contact them.

What happens with ME subs that were filed/sent before this announcement was made (i.e. label errors)?

They're out there and they have a really ugly label.

This is the biggest issue. Most people aren't going to M-E over a minor <10% ring... as it will probably come back worse. But when it completely obstructs the focal point and ruins the presentation of the book, what's the point in getting it encapsulated? It isn't as though CGC can't prevent rings from happening. They've chosen not to. Sellers shouldn't need to put a disclaimer about Newton rings, QA should check for them.

Reholder received 01/19, shipping back 04/11... More than 3 months for reholders is yucky. Jan/Dec, mine were about 20-25 days for ME. Turnaround for ME is definitely ~40 or more days now.

Already sent them back out, was just wrong variant labels (i.e. Edition A, Edition B). They'd somehow labeled books "Edition V", when there weren't even that many covers made. What was the most concerning is all of them had a 1-2inch crack down the left side of the slab in the same place. Wasn't caused by shipping.

Had a ~10 book submission come back. All of the slabs had a combination of mislabeling, newton rings, or cracking in the upper left edge of the slab. Mechanical error we go...

Why is it the Modern turnaround is 10-20 days, whereas reholder is 47-71 days?

Looks like my 4-5 just got moved to grading/GEI. Could always get it authenticated...

Doesn't look like the ones I have, but doesn't mean it's fake. If the book is valuable enough to you, you might want to send it to an authentication service.

Since August, I've sent 17 mechanical errors. Guesstimating it cost them $200-400 in shipping. Doing it right the first time would probably cost less.

The problem with attributing more points to newsstands, is that not all newsstands are accounted for. Hypothetically, a bunch of people will drop rank and/or not want to resubmit their whole collection.

It's newsstand whether the label says it or not. Very few newsstands on the registry have the notation, so there's not really any pressure to do so. It's going to be $20+shipping to reholder it, so if you're just after money there might be better options.

Breaks color. 9.8 unlikely, maybe 9.6. Usually stores only guarantee 9.4.

Only thought is that the # of newsstands will be understated, since this only took effect this year... It's unlikely everyone will resubmit their newsstands just to have them recategorized.

They had some great exclusives, but always wondered what their margins were... Edit: Also sucks for Ivan Tao, great artist. Pretty sure they sold his OAs.

Are the inner wells intact? They'll reholder them free, might want to crack them out.
