I find dollar bin books 3-4 months after release sometimes. Chin Music comes to mind

My only concern with this book is that they don't go down the Morning Glories route and lose readers due to too many plots and such.

 

If you have read Morning Glories you know what I am talking about.

I don't see that being the case here with Revival at all. I seem to be following along nicely and the book is fantastic [more so as of late IMO]

From the interviews I have read from ES [once he finally started talking about it] it seems like the issues that came up are over now and the book will be monthly again

Totally shocked by the price. I was expecting $150-165

 

 

If i could have gotten it for $165 i would have driven to Frank's House in a Uhaul (helped him move) and then let him staple my face to his Area Rug just for & giggles! I bid it all the way up to $700 and then realized that my wife would give birth to our 5th @&$king child (immaculate conception BTW) if i would have won. Of course she isnt aware of the $610 in committed money i owe for some comics. Ha ha ha ha ha!

Early numbers on #1 are almost 3x what was expected by the publisher, although things can change between now and the FOC.

Read #1 and enjoyed it. Much better than Pretty Deadly but with the 4-5 covers and a 57k print run this is 100% just a reader. Ill continue to grab an issue every month

 

Sadly MP was killed by the dullness of the covers, not lending new people to pick up the book and give it a look.

 

 

It's not dead yet. Sales are very consistent in the 17-18k range.

I agree. MP is fantastic and has a cult following. Not everything has to be walking dead exposed.

Valiant comes to mind. Not the biggest sellers but the Fans are RABID and the books are awesome.

Even though we probably knew this already ....after watching that interview I think its safe to say that ES is not the issue with how late this book has been.

 

Hopefully the new artist coming on to help will keep things flowing better

I respect ES for not throwing Nate under the bus, or engaging in the blame game.

I agree that is for sure the way to go and my dealings with Nate have been terrific. However I still feel very strongly that SOMETHING should have been said to the customers buying this product. Just anything along the lines of... "We are behind but we are working on it" would have went a long way.

Just my opinion dudes.
