Gonna be looking for an xmen 94 solid reading copy soon and wondering what  grade we're looking at.

3.0.?  Just want all pages and panels complete, no water damage, or wrinkled/crinkled pages. I think I got a VG book once and a panel was missing.  I need it for my massive xmen 94-150 first time reading Clairmont run entirely in floppy-form.

Already got a 9.4 entombed in plastic flat as a pancake pressed to death copy.

Personally, I would not get hung up on a technical grade.  If you are looking for a solid reader, paper and staples quality is most important for me.  That makes it harder to purchase online.   I have very stable G comics that look and handle great.  Just something to consider during your pursuit.  Good luck!

  2. @30% off - I will take these only if you can ship them via priority envelope.  Paying for priority box rate isn't cost effective for me.  Thank you

    Detective Comics #374 -- VG/F -- 5.0 -- $11
    Detective Comics #360 -- VG/F -- 5.0 -- $14
    Detective Comics #390 -- VG- -- 3.5 -- $6

There are a ton of comic artists and a ton of very skilled hand lettering artists also. Instagram can be a very inspirational place.

This month the Inktober challenge is so hot, it's hard to keep up with all the new art being posted.

Definitely inspirational but also intimidating.  I started brushing lettering in June.  I still look like a newbie but I don't plan on ever making a living off of it.  I am doing #happyletteringchallenge this month.  Not comic related at all.  I am not really sure how to discover these challenges before the start of the month.  So I ended up missing the first day.

I will check out Inktober but I am not on facebook or twitter.  I just do Pinterest and now Instagram.  My instagram has a big 7 posts on it.  :p

  4. I just downloaded Instagram a few months ago.  I guess I should see if there are any comic artist there.  Is there anything to look for?  I am teaching myself some hand lettering and follow some people there for ideas and to practice.

  5. I love the comic cube!  I had stopped by their booth a few years ago at a show.  While I find the piece to of high quality, I wondered if I could find anyone local to me.  But they do specialize in the cubes and understand the sizing requirements.  There are cabinet makers on etsy that will also do custom work.   But I still have mine in white boxes stuffed in my closet.

  6. A podcaster that I listen to has started a KickerStarter Campaign for his new Comic Shop Documentary movie.  This isn't his first time behind the camera as he has three other movies under his belt.  He worked at my first comic shop and he is an extremely gifted young gentleman.  I have posted links to his podcast here in the past so I am hoping this post is favorable as well.  I have no affiliation with Flat Squirrel, just would love to see the movie made.

    Here's the Kick Starter Campaign
