  1. Sounds like an anti-hero. The Undertaker is already spoken for.
  2. New Trend ECs are at the pinnacle as far as comics go. Some of the greatest ever. I’m a lifelong fan. (Just to clarify, in case I’m understating.)
  3. As an admirer of Al Feldstein’s writing style, that seems a bit lightweight to me.
  4. You can still encounter verbosity in modern comics.
  5. If only we could go back to the halcyon days of Bronze Age purple prose. Those writers gave you value for money, word-wise. Compression, not decompression!
  6. I’d considered the Sandman’s familiar, Matthew, but he was originally human.
  7. The young and fresh-faced boardies. I've found many modern comics to be great reads. Perhaps some of us, pushing 60, are still young at heart despite being greyer.
  8. Too retrogressive. You’re describing a bad 90s Image comic.
  9. I’d also go with this one… Against that, you can counter argue that it’s a Pietà pose design.
  10. I thought you might post something from Planetary.
  11. Not all modern comics are rubbish. As I stated in a thread elsewhere, for example, Simon Spurrier’s recent Hellblazer series is quite brilliant. I’m a grey-haired boomer.
  12. 264 to 281 Constantine City of Demons 1 to 5 Average, slightly confusing scene transitions and pacing at times. Not Sean Murphy's best art, either. Constantine: Futures End one-shot Good story in which he faces off against Dr Fate. and John Constantine Hellblazer (2019) 1 to 12 Anyone who claims that 'all modern comics are rubbish' should read this masterpiece and shut up. One of the best comic series I've ever read, with a writer who gets the character to perfection, and great artwork. A classic status horror comic.
  13. Having not been taking this thread too seriously, one of the first thoughts that entered my head was that it would've been fun to post a Den panel from Richard Corben's Neverwhere. Of course, this would've been too NSFW.
  14. A couple of games; Mass Effect Legendary Edition and Guardians of the Galaxy, for PS4.
  15. From England, hoping that the transatlantic boardies have a great time during this holiday period.
