Lots of Neal Adams criticism in this thread. For me, he’s beyond reproach. Anyway, look at that huge left foot. -

Wonder if the classic giraffe scene from the game will be done in the series? -
I haven’t read Blue and Gold yet, but I have been impressed by Ryan Sook’s artwork previously. Maguire’s great as well.

Miller was also fond of them. -

Extreme Giraffe phobia. Maybe got caught in a stampede once. It was difficult to control them out on the range in the Old West. -

The look on his face adds to the effect as well, as I'm sure the artist was fully aware of. -

I like the way he’s tried to disguise it with a scarf, but fooled nobody. -

Quite a psychedelic comic book story. During his training to become Master of the Mystic Arts he probably did a lot of yoga and meditation and loosened up, and maybe played Twister with The Ancient One and Baron Mordo. -

I was going to joke and say that at least he doesn’t shout “Amshaz!”, but, on researching… “Captain Marvel's signature ability, however, was the power to detach his head, limbs and hands and send them flying off in all directions whenever he shouted "Split!" and reattach them when he shouted "Xam!"” I wasn’t aware of the latter. -

Messing around on YouTube, watching a video about classic TV intros, I encountered this for the first time. I don't recall the series ever being shown on British TV. But, really ... and, an even better version... -

From the time when Supes developed Kryptonian rickets. Strange for a dairy-fed Kansas farm boy. -

I had considered it, of course. But, I'd already posted the classic Frank Robbins Nomad panel, and I'm not greedy. It's a community here. I always keep that in mind. -
I can empathise. Without going into the details, reading comics and a process of detachment has been very therapeutic and positive in getting me through a number of very abusive, negative, destructive experiences, and that counteractive effect’s a major reason as to why I’ve kept going with the medium, pretty much lifelong, as with you. It’s never let me down, why exclude it? Avengers 93’s a great book, incidentally.

How long before the market charges a grand for a comic bag containing flakes of newsprint from a key book? Disintegrated, but otherwise complete. Reductio ad absurdum.

Klaus Janson’s figurework was never quite up to the standard of Miller’s and shortcomings weren’t that uncommon if you scrutinise his pencil art. Nonetheless, a superb, dark, atmospheric inking style. -
