Should Con dealers beat/match online prices?

English is great, isn’t it? Throw the strict rules in the trash. -
MCU's DEADPOOL 3 starring Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman (2024)
Ken Aldred replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
Liked the previous two, and I’ll get my first senior citizen matinee concession ticket for this one, just having hit 60. Hope I don’t fall asleep during it, though. -
Being quite dyspraxic, clumsy, I’m extremely impressed with this level of coordination. Well done. The best I’ve done is 12 under par on the course in Grand Theft Auto 5. It doesn’t compare.

Omnibus, Absolute, Deluxe, and HC Thread

I don’t blame you. Incredibly nostalgic material for Bronze Age kids. Great to see it collected, at last. My first exposure to the brilliance of Michael Golden’s artwork. At the time I didn’t realise I had a silent competitor for the comics on the newsstand over here. I tended to focus on Marvels and never really noticed that the choice DC issues were being snapped up, including Golden’s Batman Family and Mister Miracle books. I had to pick those up later at British comic marts. Eventually though, I got introduced to him and we became firm collecting buddies. -

I tend to favour the noble, do-gooder, protector archetype. We’ve had Superman already, so I’ll go with Captain America instead. - Jack Kirby (GA to early SA) - John Romita Snr - Jim Steranko - Neal Adams - John Buscema - George Perez - Mike Zeck - Bryan Hitch - Steve Epting - Jackson / Butch Guice - Alan Davis - Alex Ross -

Actually, you beat me to it there. I suppose, for these boards, it’s not that obscure or smart an answer. I thought it might’ve been less likely to appear than picking Wolverine or Punisher. I wouldn’t, many would. Shows what I know. -

I’m not at all impressed with the grading here. The seller is clearly incompetent and a bit of a quack.

I'm usually absolutely terrible with this sort of thing, but I got this one for a change.

Is Spider-Boy a fan favorite or just spec hype?
Ken Aldred replied to Shaun Hill's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
I prefer Spider-Punk. Much more interesting character. -
Marvel Premiere 1 for me.

That book looks a bit dog-eared. You’re being sold a pup there.

Amazon Prime's FALLOUT series starring Walton Goggins (4/12/24)
Ken Aldred replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
It's surprisingly good. Quite common in RPGs. Riding around the country on a horse or hiking in Elder Scrolls or Witcher, on a motorbike with the radio on in GTA San Andreas, etc. Fallout has several faction endings to play through as well, adding to its overall longevity.- 93 replies

Omnibus, Absolute, Deluxe, and HC Thread
Ken Aldred replied to BITCOINSWAM2's topic in Comics General
Both good series. 52 is very consistent in quality. Thick omnibus. -
For pure nostalgia, looking back at a certain month and year, recalling memories of the comics you bought then and the situations you experienced, the Newsstand is unbeatable and indispensable. Can’t help revisiting it.

Amazon Prime's FALLOUT series starring Walton Goggins (4/12/24)
Ken Aldred replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
A lead character in the series who's fairly close to the look that I chose for my character in the video game. The models provided by Bethesda in the PS4 version to select from and modify aren't great, and I ended up being happiest playing as the African-American woman, with a fairly slim build. After a bit of deliberating, that looked the best one to me. It also seemed to fit in most sympathetically with the grand, underlying theme of the game; a vulnerable, bereft parent looking for their child in a harsh, broken world. That said, I haven't watched the series yet, just raising an interesting parallel. Similar idea.- 93 replies

Why the mind cannot accept the defects on modern as for the older?

I agree. It should be absolute. -

To me it looks like his art has evolved into very bad, late period Jack Kirby, when The King had significant health issues. -

Old or modern, it always irritates me. I feel your pain too. -
As an angler, that’s a nice catch. Well done.

Cho's a very cartoony artist, similar to Bruce Timm. But, he's done better. From the POV of a minimalist style, and given the powers of the character, it's not bad.

Vampirella Vol 1 : Forbidden Fruit 2017 series, issues 0 to 5 Entertaining if bizarre story from Paul Cornell, nice art by Jimmy Broxton, a style which wouldn’t look out of place in an original Vampirella Warren magazine. 2024 total = 226

Marvel should turn that into Spider-Punk's support band. You deserve a fee for its use, of course.
