  1. Wasn’t it Cosmo the Space Dog in Guardians of the Galaxy? Just checking.
  2. The cinema staff told me that last week the showings were consistently packed out. I went yesterday at 9.30 am and the auditorium was completely empty. So, glad I waited; no distractions.
  3. As much as I'm a fan of Quasar, his light-based powers look far too similar to Captain Marvel's, and an appearance at this stage would be a little underwhelming and repetitive for me. Like you, I'm happy to be watching this at a distance.
  4. That's the problem with cosmic-level characters; they end up seeming like a cheap, unconvincing deus ex machina, as with Rick Jones in the Kree-Skrull War.
  5. Iron Man 55, Tomb of Dracula 10 and ASM 129 are cheap there.
  6. I haven't read Cates' Venom yet, but Thanos was very good, and I'd read it from the start when Jeff Lemire was writing. There's also some nice artwork by Deodato and Shaw.
  7. Not surprised to see that his first appearance was only a few years after 'Return of the Jedi'.
  8. He always seemed very enthusiastic about Woodgod. Quite common to have a personal favourite that's quite obscure.
  9. Still a let down that big, pointy, Silver Age style arrows are missing.
  10. In certain circumstances it could be justified, though. If I was caught with one inside a textbook, say, for example, a chemistry textbook, then I'd explain that we need to be aware of the recurrent properties of certain structurally similar members of the Periodic Table, and this is succinctly described in several issues of Metamorpho, The Element Man, which are considered essential and part of the reading list, and so it's been advised to have a few of them readily to hand, which is why I might be found keeping one inside my textbook. Likewise, the Flash issues featuring Mr Element or Dr Alchemy are considered appropriate alternatives, as are issues of Wonder Woman for my Classical Studies course, and Batman as a case history in PTSD for my Psychology option. Easy.
  11. Much better standard of writing than I'd achieved by that age, though.
  12. Wasn’t it Chamber of Darkness 4 that had the Starr the Slayer Conan tryout by BWS, and would’ve been the more expensive of the two BWS issues?
  13. Codpiece is hilarious. The only good thing I recall about Doom Patrol after Grant Morrison left.
  14. I initially thought it might be Roy G Biv, then I remembered it's Roy G Bivolo, from The Flash TV Series. So, even his alter ego is a bit pants.
  15. Not a terribly healthy idea to cover yourself with that.
  16. Composed of an adamantium alloy and more dangerous than they look. An early, failed reject of the Weapon X program before they thought about claws.
  17. 'Non-stop, gender-shattering action!'
