Both 9.0s went to Hariri with Metro acting as his agent. He has a deep personal connection to Superman due to his memories of his assonated father, so he is unlikely to sell anytime soon. Of course the copy that beats those two, the MH, is also not going to be sold anytime soon if ever (owner and his son both deal comics). That makes the 8.5 the best AVAILABLE copy - maybe just for decades, maybe forever.
That's right. It's all coming back to me now. I re-read some of the Impossible Collection articles. That's where I remember seeing those two 9.0s together in one picture. Thanks for those details.

I watched a lot of the Heritage bidding action today. That's a major league score and a beautiful book...even white pages. Congratulations!

who owns the 9.0s? Metropolis? wow!
Here's a link to ComicConnect and the details of the Action #1 CGC 9.0 that Metropolis won on eBay for 3.2 Million. I'm looking for the other 9.0 sale details. I remember seeing a picture of Vincent Z. holding two CGC 9.0's in his hands.

Here's my own Justice League of America 1 which had visible colour touch on the lower right when I bought it more than twenty years ago:
The defect grew to bother me so much over the years that I sent it to Susan Cicconi at the Restoration Lab to see what could be done. Well she returned it free if charge saying nothing could be done about the existence of colour touch but it was no longer visible! Now I'm content with my copy.
Great looking copy! A nice JLA #1 is still on my want list.

Jack Kirby...what a legend. I'm sure when all these characters from Captain America to FF to Thor and all the rest were first created and drawn, he could not have imagined the impact they would have on the world. To think that these artists were originally doing all this for work (and their love of storytelling and drawing, of course) to provide for themselves and their families...unbelievable.

Yeah. There are some absolutely amazing items in this Heritage auction. I wonder if Metropolis has the high bid on the Action #1 8.5. I believe they own the two 9.0s that sold not too long ago. This will be a fun one to watch. I'm hoping to win something good under the radar with all the money being spent on the top shelf books.

I finally scored a high grade book from The Promise Collection. I really like these early Tracy covers. The bidding has been intense on Promise books I've watched at auction (especially superhero titles). I was dreaming of winning some under #100 Action Comics issues recently at Heritage and got blown out of the water when the bidding heated up so I'm just happy to own one Promise book...so far.

I've had several copies of ASM #2 over the years and then decided to take the plunge with this SS book. I know it has 2 strikes against it being both restored (small color touch) and trimmed, but it would be tough to find one that looks better at first glance.
It was signed by a celebrity who went by Stan the Man!

This FF #112 CGC 9.6 is a new acquisition for me that I'm not sure I ever owned unless it was in a collection I quickly sold. I went for this one because of the high grade. The miswrapped cover bugs me a little but there are only so many available for sale at any given time at a reasonable price. Despite the technical stuff, I love that black battle cover.

Exceptional major SA keys in the current Heritage Auction

It was a lot more than 25 cents...ha, ha. Here is my FF Annual #1. I'll need an expert on the chronology of these books (and someone who owns raw copies) to chime in. ST Annual 1 has a 1962 date and FF Annual 1 has a 1963 date so there might have been some time between the two before they reached the rack.
