  1. Todd does quick remarks at just about every signing I've seen for him. He'll do little Spider symbols, Bat symbols, Haunt symbols, and even headsketches from time to time. For a more detailed sketch, your best be was probably the Hero Initiative sketch he did for Ultimate Spidey 100.
  2. Good Karma kudos go out to LoneTree (Brian). In one of his sales threads, I sent a PM asking if he had any more books like a few he had listed. He said no, but sent me the ones I was interested in for free as a birthday present. Stand up guy in my book. Thanks again!
  3. Great! Glad I was able to help out a fellow TMNT fan!
  4. Kudos to Dan (Par2ch) for getting this done. It was waiting for me when I got home from the show last night. Thanks again for thinking of me!
  5. I took a closer look at Motor City's copies. They had a graded 9.0 copy, a 2nd print that was VF, a 1st print that was VF-, and a VF/NM 1st print with color touch. They also had a Turtlemania in VF condition with rusty staples.
  6. Kudos to LoneTree (Brian) for very fast shipping and safe packaging on 2 slabs. Thanks again!
  7. Gotcha! It's spelled "Kris", but I'm sure he gets that all the time. Sweet book with a great sig! Here are a few books I got back today:
  8. Very Nice! Who witnessed that one? Comix4Fun?
  9. Of the TMNT books, I'm not sure what the official classification is, but Fugitoid book is the only true magazine-sized book. TMNT #1 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prints, #2 1st and 2nd prints, #3 regular 1st print and NYC variant, #4 1st print, and Raphael #1 1st print are all "oversized", meaning they're larger than standard comic books but smaller than magazines. Regardless, all of the books I've mentioned have to be submitted to the CGC under the Magazine tier. Hope it helps.
  10. Great Thor book, Raph! I love it when artists (in this case the colorist) add more than just the sig to the book. The lightning bolts are really cool. In my eyes, it really justifies having Steigerwald's signature on there (since he colored the cover, but this is the sketch variant). Really cool book! Plus, Turner covers =
  11. With so much black on the cover, I'd be pretty hesitant buying a raw copy from anyone other than a fellow collector who I know or a reputable dealer. Color touch would be too easy on this one.
  12. I know this was posted somewhere, but I can't remember where. Someone was looking for a low-grade copy of issue #1 and this one was brought up. http://cgi.ebay.com/TEENAGE-MUTANT-NINJA-TURTLES-COMIC-NO-1-FIRST-PRINTING_W0QQitemZ280483910627QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item414e24d3e3#ht_500wt_1182 I noticed it was back up for auction. Sure enough, the feedback from the last buyer was negative with the comment "Won TMNT #1 auction, seller refused to sell it, demanded I pay more. Beware!" I'm sure it goes without saying, but there are red flags all over this seller. He's the same one who kept changing his beginning price last time. If anyone wants to link to the old thread, please feel free. Just thought I'd throw out the warning.
  13. The production run was 3000 for the first print. Given the current list (and only counting 1 for rabidwolf), you think there are 277 more copies held by board members that haven't posted them? Not attacking you...just want to see if I'm understanding you correctly.
  14. You should find a good red marker and get Ray Park to sign those Darth Maul books. (thumbs u
  15. bghkoyama and heroes haven are sorely missed in the marketplace.
  16. Kudos to Kris (thecollector) for hooking me up with my first double-signed sketch of this book.
