  1. Depends if you define ‘garbage’ by value or quality.
  2. Always preferred GARBAGE for this time frame.
  3. This is probably because of value. Low value = minimal subbing.
  4. That is a pretty classic 90’s cover. Has Wolverine 27 type style.
  5. Valuable? Probably not. Worth something? Yes. But supply will limit upside.
  6. What was your success rate? Both for any comics, and for post-2000 newsstand books.
  7. I take it that it IS her, drawn with plausible deniability.
  8. And just flat-out too cool. Would be a huge mistake to subtract him.
  9. Watched episode one. Liked it. THIS guy IS Reacher. Still getting used to his voice and speech patterns. Slow to acclimate after having formed a pretty concrete image after reading 25 or so novels.
  10. Yup. Remarkable for a character that has been woven so deeply into the Bat and DC mythos in the last few years.
  11. It’s a joke, but in some ways it’s true, in that it illustrates that there are no ‘rules’. The market is what it is, decides what it decides, and no matter how much pizzing and moaning a guy does in his eBay listing, it’s just tilting at windmills.
  12. This is an is ongoing debate on these boards. Doesn’t much matter if there’s debate. I’m speaking from the perspective of how the market has traditionally allocated dollars and buying interest. The fact Mando/Grogu appear in a sequential pictorial story in GN form won’t stop many collectors from buying DV 20 as ‘first cover’ of Mando/Grogu. If you see a ‘comic book’ as encompassing any sequential graphic or comic art, your choice should be to collect Mando S1 V1. The fact that the market hasn’t run up the price of that GN is telling, though.
  13. To collectors, there’s comics, and there’s ancillary items. The first traditional comic appearances tend to be collected, whether or not an ancillary item has had a previous appearance. The ancillary items are also collected, and can also be winners. The point, though, is that an appearance in a non-traditional form doesn’t tend to make the forst comic appearance meaningless. See: Harley Quinn, Rocket Raccoon, Boba Fett…
  14. Let's connect before the next Red&White or Calgary Expo. I can bring a couple down for you if you still need them. For the best price, talk to the guy who sets up with him.
  15. I’ve taken to tucking away characters and concepts that I think Disney/D+ may use in the future to expand their MCU streaming and movie empire internationally and demographically.
  16. You know who else have caught on? Marvel and DC. New releases are becoming increasingly seeded with new characters.
  17. If they start to, the mid and late run books will be brutally hard to find. It’ll make assembling a Spawn run look like a walk in the park.
  18. New Milligan/Allred series, the X-Cellent, out in Feb. Spotlight back on.
