  1. They’re dangerous, and can be thrown with a great degree of force… …especially after busting a drive into the trees or missing a three foot putt.
  2. Paul Ryan? From when Marvel instructed all artists to draw like Liefeld…
  3. Not so much a body part issue, per se, but what was Romita JR thinking…?
  4. We won’t (didn’t) get the first wave of 7 for 10s, because we didn’t get the waves of 3 packs that went into them, I’m guessing. Hoping we get future waves of the 7 for 10s, with the long odds ratio 3 packs inside, and the current wave of 3 packs.
  5. It’s the inker that botched it. You can see the proper thumb in light green at the bottom of the second ‘E’ in DAREDEVIL. He inked that as cloth green, and then inked a pseudo thumb in brown out of what should have been light green torn fabric.
  6. Eh, I give their stuff a B too. And *way* too many variant covers. Dollar box fodder.
  7. In the back of the shipping and receiving facility: In the ‘waiting for grading’ room:
  8. Maybe. But if so, whoever was doing the shilling is an absolute m***n. If I’m putting a floor bid in, $450 is ridiculously optimistic, and if I’m the 3 feedback guy, just how high would I think I could push the final price before I won my own auction?
  9. ‘They're selling coffee, bran muffins... you're surrounded by reading material... It's entrapment!’
  10. I intended to ask about back issue pricing in general, but as always it's difficult to convey the proper meaning online. No worries. Your best bet is old Overstreet Price Guides. It’ll give you some idea of the history of values, and the market reports will be helpful to capture the zeitgeist of the moment. The caveats I’d give you are this: pre-2000, Overstreet was really slow to adjust pricing on books that blew up. It took them several years to catch up on pricing McFarlane Amazing Spider-Man’s, for example. The problem continues post-2000, now magnified by the fact that books blow up and cool down much faster in the internet age. Second best options may be old Comic Buyer’s Guide issues and ads, and other old ads, like the Mile High ads that ran in comics in the 80’s and 90’s.
  11. Are you asking about cover price of comics, or back issue prices?
  12. Because it won't be good enough Would be good enough for me, Dan.
  13. Don’t buy a pig in a poke. Probably best not to buy from Danny, either…
  14. Nope. No LCS connection. Never met by anyone at shows… etc, etc
  15. Not me. I’d laugh, say ‘yeah, whatever’, and run into several boardies at the next local con. Hell, I’ve even met Greggy in person.
  16. Are ‘thrill bidders’ still discouraged?
