  1. Looks like Southern Bastards may have some legs.
  2. I agree. It was my least favorite Frank but somebody must like it. Maybe it will make a better TV show. The last three issues are quite hard to find. Many 16 year olds like me gave up on it after issue 3. I have had no takers on a set for over a year now. Glad it did not sell earlier at 50% of guide!
  3. While a couple of the LCS's I went to only had a few copies, my file LCS ordered big as the person in charge of ordering keeps an eye on new releases and goes big on titles he thinks will have legs. He is usually right. On the flip side, while they ordered enough ASM #700s to get the 1:700 Ditko variant, they did not order big on ASM #1 as they do not have the 1:300 Ross sketch cover........
  4. I like the silver 2nd print ASM #361 cover better than the plain jane one. (thumbs u
  5. What are these going for now? I had 10 or so copies of the 2nd print included in an auction lot win a year or so ago (NM New Mutants short box with complete run + extras for $140).
  6. At the Calgary show this weekend I was selling copies that were 8.5/9.0 for $50 raw, and had my 9.6 go at $150 fairly fast. My 9.4 copy of #362 sold for $50 as well......
  7. thankfully, i still got $95 for my auction of both covers. I sold a raw NM- #6 regular cover for $40 and a FN/VF Buck/Winter Soldier variant for $40 at the Calgary Expo this week. After that I did not put any others out as I only have one or two left.
  8. I had a toy Freddy Kruger glove when I was a kid in the 80's. No one said anything about that back then. We made Freddy Kruger gloves that were sharp enough that they worked.......
  9. I believe it's still Flash Thompson. Based on the image in the article, he looks like a cross between Deadpool and Fantomex......... That's how he has looked for a while: http://marvel.wikia.com/Venom_Vol_2_4 Okay. Goes to show how long it has been since I looked at a new Venom book. I think it is lame, but so be it.

  11. So, did the symbiote bind to Deadpool or Fantomex for the GOTG book?
  12. I might have to put up one of my copies. They are from two OO collections that have been untouched for 30 years since 1984! An untouched Comic collection found in an attic in the heart of Detroit, this collection has not been touched in around 20 years...Here is your opportunity to acquire a 1980 DC COMICS PRESENTS #26 SUPERMAN and the GREEN LANTERN. THIS ISSUE is the 1st APPEARANCE of the NEW TEEN TITANS. Here is a solid pick up to your collection. There no flaws with this great comic. Deep Color, No Creasing, Deep color, Clean, Sharp edges, great corners, No Spine wear, pages still white, no moisture damage, no handwriting, firm book, and lies flat. DO NOT PASS ON THIS great piece of comic history. There will be MUCH more very collectible comics listed very soon. There will be NO ADDITIONAL shipping costs to multiple comics won.
  13. How does Sex Criminals get so many nominations? That book sucks IMHO. I like the fact I made a nice profit on the copies I have sold so far, but it is far from a top 10 comic IMHO.
  14. Watch it be Uber An Uber movie would be awesome. I would rather see it as a TV show, though, as it would take too long to retell WW2 in just one flick. (thumbs u
  15. Here are a couple of SA Batmans that just came back from CGC:
  16. Cap v5 #14 still sells for higher than #6, right? Here is the last copy I sold: http://www.ebay.com/itm/251455255763?ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1561.l2649#ht_235wt_988 It only hit $41 which was a bit disappointing IMHO........
  17. Add in the cosplay female fans, and cons are definitely much more enjoyable to set up at than they were 10 years ago.......
  18. Fresh back from Sarasota.................
  19. One of my favorite books. I currently only have two copies left in the stash: Undercopy #1 Current Keeper Copy
  20. Well, it is from "An untouched Comic collection found in an attic in the heart of Detroit, this collection has not been touched in around 20 years..." Without looking, the collection could have 10 copies. Understood. I was making fun of the sales pitch. That price seems out of whack, but I am all for having DCCP 26 run up since I already have a few in hand........

  22. BA 12 is more like $650-$675 in a 9.8, and NM 98 is in the $400-$450 range. NM 98 is a true first appearance of a currently popular character, BA 12 is simply the first appearance of a cartoon character in a comic book. People over estimate the importance of BA 12 in the hobby, and as more and more 9.8 copies hit the census, the lower the price seems to go. NM 98 has tons of 9.8's on the census and still seems to rise over time, although slowly. -J. I agree with you re: prices will fall as more 9.8s hit the census, just like with every other book, but your comment re: importance of NM 98 vs. BA 12 is wrong. Deadpool is an good character, but does not have the widespread appeal of Harley across both male and, more importantly, female collectors. That is the most important factor for comics as a whole going forward, IMHO. As more female readers and collectors enter the hobby characters like Harley and books like Saga will become more popular. I have been seeing it at shows the past three years especially after the DC New 52 relaunch - male and female collectors buy Harley books equally, but it almost entirely male collectors with Deadpool. FWIW, the way Marvel is treating Deadpool right now with crappy mini after crappy mini I can see the franchise going the way of Punisher in the late 80s to mid 90s - overexposure can kill a good thing as well. DC is going to run the same risk with Harley if they overdo it.........
  23. This is why the OSPG does not differentiate between copies without the tats - they can readily be replaced. (thumbs u
