I might have to put up one of my copies. They are from two OO collections that have been untouched for 30 years since 1984! How does Sex Criminals get so many nominations? That book sucks IMHO. I like the fact I made a nice profit on the copies I have sold so far, but it is far from a top 10 comic IMHO.

Add in the cosplay female fans, and cons are definitely much more enjoyable to set up at than they were 10 years ago.......

Without looking, the collection could have 10 copies. Understood. I was making fun of the sales pitch. That price seems out of whack, but I am all for having DCCP 26 run up since I already have a few in hand........

BA 12 is more like $650-$675 in a 9.8, and NM 98 is in the $400-$450 range. NM 98 is a true first appearance of a currently popular character, BA 12 is simply the first appearance of a cartoon character in a comic book. People over estimate the importance of BA 12 in the hobby, and as more and more 9.8 copies hit the census, the lower the price seems to go. NM 98 has tons of 9.8's on the census and still seems to rise over time, although slowly. -J. I agree with you re: prices will fall as more 9.8s hit the census, just like with every other book, but your comment re: importance of NM 98 vs. BA 12 is wrong. Deadpool is an good character, but does not have the widespread appeal of Harley across both male and, more importantly, female collectors. That is the most important factor for comics as a whole going forward, IMHO. As more female readers and collectors enter the hobby characters like Harley and books like Saga will become more popular. I have been seeing it at shows the past three years especially after the DC New 52 relaunch - male and female collectors buy Harley books equally, but it almost entirely male collectors with Deadpool. FWIW, the way Marvel is treating Deadpool right now with crappy mini after crappy mini I can see the franchise going the way of Punisher in the late 80s to mid 90s - overexposure can kill a good thing as well. DC is going to run the same risk with Harley if they overdo it.........

It is funny, but I find stores to be relatively poorly stocked wrt true NM- or better CA books. Sure, they have a ton of VFs, but years of being stuff in long boxes in the back with or without bags has made a lot of the Copper books I see VF/NM at best. Looking at collections, the early CA stuff tends to be in worse shape than the late 80s/early 90s books as well.

Cloak & Dagger have SUCH tremendous potential.... I can see Dagger cosplay going the way of Harley, Black Cat, Zatanna, or Catwoman at cons.

I wonder when Marvel will add Cloak and Dagger to a movie/tv series? I liked the duo in the 80s.

This one is mine. I have been selling 5th print #1s for $12.99 on BINs the past bit so I am hoping the 2nd print goes for more than this in the end.

Will that speed things up at all? It would be nice to have a second arc before Christmas as I still have some leftover books to sell. I am still pleasantly surprised at how much this title still brings on eBay even though it may be done.

These are the best people to have at cons. I sold a pile of low grade slow moving Marvel commons at the Calgary Expo form a new collection due to Stan Lee signing at the show. We were the first comic booth coming out of the Guests hall, so we put out Stan Lee drek piles and moved them fast. It was great. The smarter people asked which books would be best so I told them, but the others just grabbed fugly copies, handed me the money and ran.

On the flip side, as the small study showed, it does help to restore the suppleness of the paper (can't remember how/why) so the books should look pretty for longer.

Buy the label, not the book!

It is a trend that has been discussed quite a bit over the past few years. The best time to submit books is during convention season if you want gift grades as the volume of books means they have to try to rush through more at once. It is like any other business: higher volume = more errors/defects.

I will give you $10 for it.
