How many different Phantom variant covers are supposed to be out this week? My LCS had two of them - are there five in total?

Went to the LCS today that has the Phantom variants and noticed that there is a small white mark about 1/4 of the way up from the bottom on all copies. Did not take it out of the bag to closely inspect it to determine whether it was a printing defect or spine ding. I passed as a result - did anyone else find the same issue?

Wow. I will have to start unloading some now. A great story + low print run = high prices. If #3 and #4 keep building the story line nicely we could see even higher prices in short order.........

I agree that it is a good read, but if there were 35,000 copies of #1 and #2 the prices would not be as high yet. Due to the low print run, a lot of people that are hearing the buzz need to buy them through the secondary market. As a result, prices are spiking high after only issue #2.

I can't believe how high the JLA run is going for now. Reminds me of the action on those 2 or 3 mind-wipe/memory loss issues (#159-161?) a couple of years ago that spiked and dropped.........

The thing working for NM #1 and #2 is the low print run. I know that there were only a few copies on the shelves at the 5 stores I hit that week for #1, and even fewer copies of #2. I am kicking myself at passing on the 4 Thought Bubble variants at one store the Wednesday that #1 came out......... Another positive is that LCSs are actively recommending this and other Image books to Marvel and DC clients. Here's hoping that the popularity builds to Saga levels, but with a lower print run on the early issues.

It is funny - there are sellers still posting #1s and #2s with low BINs or starting bids. All they have to do is look at the recent results to see what they should be pricing them at.........

It will be interesting to see what happens with #2 if this title keeps running up. PP #2 levels would be nice!

Exactly. Some poor suckers paid big money for the 2nd prints that were advertised as #1 Thought Bubble Variants without realizing the difference. I agree that the 2nd print cover is cooler, though.
