  1. Looks very nice, but I wouldn't buy it because it is unslabbed...just my preference. If I see it in person, then I will place my bid. Someone can make out on this purchase or loose on this purchase. It is not the grade stated either IMHO. Looks like there is rounding/chipping of the interior pages in the top right corner where the piece of the cover is missing as well. That being said, it is light years better than the past few POS low grade copies that have been auctioned on eBay. Yes, that is the better looking copy I've seen on Ebay for some time. The usual suspect is always around a VG or less which my copies is also. Well, the final hammer was at $199 and a smidge so a strong price for a likely 5.5 to 6.0 at best copy. (thumbs u
  2. Thanks for the effort in putting this together. (thumbs u
  3. I am not sure and I don't think so. I do know Dark Knight is trying to sell his 4.0 off-whites in the for sale section for $2200. I think the eBay 2.5 copy might be the same one from this train wreck of a derailed FS thread: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=3611285&fpart=1
  4. Is this the same one that was posted in the FS section here a few days back?

  6. I am curious to see where this copy of GL #7 ends up: GREEN LANTERN #7 1ST APP. SINESTRO SWEET BOOK 7.0-8.0
  7. It will also be interesting to see how much he rakes with his GL #1 9.4 if he sells it during the pre-movie bubble.
  8. Really? I joined the boards in August this year, but have been collecting a while. He still has a few bits and pieces left, but nothing much to get excited about.
  9. Thanks. Wish I had just jumped on a HG copy of SC #22 a couple of years ago now to complete the run!
  10. Thanks, Tim. The two slabs came from Worldwide comics and based on the NCB handling bends/dints on the covers I almost think that they were not pressed. Regardless, I paid just $5 more for the pair than the CGC 8.5 Mound City GL #18 went for so it was well worth it.
  11. And another copy of GL #16 from a major dealer:
  12. A couple of eBay purchases. GL #16 (a bit worse than stated but better than typical eBay grading) GL #29 (pleasantly surprised, especially for an eBay purchase, with the grade being very close to accurate)
  13. Good luck with the sale, Brian. (thumbs u
  14. Do you mean the whitish scuff near along the spine in the grey area? Maybe printing defect in most copies. Yes.
  15. What is with the whitish scuffs/ink issues you see along the spine on a lot of these books? Even this 8.5 has it.
  16. Has an Atom movie just been announced?
  17. passes showcase #4 as most valuable DC silver in grade (i think) That`s only because there are no higher copies of #22, whereas a 9.0 SC #4 sits 4th on the totem pole behind a 9.6, a 9.4 and one at a grade that I dare not mention otherwise Sharpton Esq. will magically appear. Who is Sharpton Esq.? Check out the Heritage thread in GA. Or just say the mystical combination of the book and the grade that cannot be mentioned and he will magically appear. I know. Just wanted to see if anyone would come out and say it.

  19. The interesting thing is that the majority of the new copies of SC #22 that have come out of hiding are low to lower mid grade condition. We have seen very few 8.0+ copies emerge. There might have been one from the same run that the 9.6 SC #4 came from, but I believe that the OO stopped buying before #22.
  20. I think that the Clink 9.0 could be pancaked into a 9.2......
  21. passes showcase #4 as most valuable DC silver in grade (i think) Yes it has...but in reality, it is not worth more than SC4. SC22 9.0 is considered the 9.4 of it's kind. It will be interesting to see what happens in the future. Remember, FF #1 used to be the big dog in the SA Marvel house for a long time as well.
  22. At this rate it won't be long before it passes Marvel Comics #1 in 9.0 value. Look at the bright side - Marvel fanboys can laugh that it has taken this long for a big DC SA key to surpass it since a few SA Marvel keys did that a while back.
