Here's a few favorites I've got in my reading stacks. That HOM has a killer story in it. I'll make a seperate post on that.

Ghost Stories 1 is a classic! That and 'Tales From The Tomb" are two of my all time favorite horror comics. They are very different compared with the other issues Dell put out.

Happy Reading horror heads! Halloween is right around the corner. ?

Some spook-tacular reads right there! I'll have to check out Ghost Stories, never associated Dell with horror before.

There was a seller on Granville that used to put the board in the middle of the book every time.  Perhaps greggy just left it there....

Golden Age Collectables. To give you an idea of how long they've been there, I remember wandering in and out of the store while my sister held my place in line while waiting to see Superman 2 at the Capitol 6! Back then the store was mainly focused on collectable movie posters...

I think Bran will control the 3rd Dragon, he's always been able to take over animals (wolves, crows)

My guess is that Tyrion is the third Targaryen. The books indicate that the Mad King had an unseemly interest in his mother; he doesn't look like a Lannister; and this could be the true reason behind his father's hatred for him ("you're no son of mine!").

Also, he is the only other person I know of in the series (other than Jon and Daenerys) who has been able to get close to the dragons without becoming a snack - and we all know the dragons only tolerate Targaryens!

So am I.  I've been reading the "Saxon Series", I've read the 3 King Arthur books (Nothing like you think it would be) and a bunch of other books by him...Just GREAT reading..I WILL read this book soon since he recommended it. Funny, Bernard Cornwell has a book titled the same and it's an excellent book!

Just a heads up, this one is Non-Fiction. Still a great read, especially if you're interested in the real history behind the books (like the fictional historical novel you mentioned - Azincourt). (thumbsu

Great comics, though I wonder what was going on behind the scenes at Marvel when Thor 158 went to press. The Marie Severin penciled cover looks like a stock photo without even a hint or blurb of what might be awaiting potential readers inside the issue. Maybe Kirby was way behind schedule (again) and Stan Lee told Marie to "make a cover, any cover, just make sure it has Thor on it!"

Nice books, but God, did I hate that period when Marvel attached those annoying yellow ad banners towards the top of the covers.  Ruined a lot of iconic covers for the time (X-Men 137 comes immediately to mind).

Oh yeah..."This Marvel Comic Could Be Worth $2500 To You!" "Win A Toys 'R' Us Shopping Spree!" "Win A Ten-Speed!" "Don't Miss the New Spider-Man And His Amazing Friends!"...those fugly cover banners were a terrible idea and definitely the bane of comic collectors in the early 80's.

For the Journey run, I'd venture #s 83,85 (first Loki),89 (classic cover),97 (origin Odin; first Tales of Asgard),103 (first Enchantress and Executioner),112 (Thor meets Hulk), and 119 (first Warriors Three) at least.  Maybe 115 for the origin of Loki and 102 for the first Sif.

All must haves, but there is one other (minor key) - JIM #114 - 1st Absorbing Man! A personal favorite and, in my opinion, a classic cover!
