  1. Which one came first, the Treasury size Marvel Special Edition #2 or Marvel Super Special #16 ?
  2. Sorry if this was addressed before but what is considered as the first appearance of Boba Fett ? Is it Star Wars #42 or Marvel Comics Super Special #16 ? Publication date is Sept. 1980 for the first and Spring 1980 for the second. So if MCSS #16 is the 1st appearance, why does it not worth more ? Kind of Hulk #271 vs Marvel Preview #7 similar case ?
  3. I am always amazed how strict and tight some people are in the PGM thread. I just wish they could keep the same grading standards when it is time to sell their books..
  4. Thanks for the three PM recommendations! I finally bought an Epson Perfection V550 for less than $200, not legal size but doing great on raw books. Only problem I have compared to my old scanner is for CGC books, there is some kind of light glance at top, anybody knows how to fix this ? Here are examples:
  5. All right, I know this thread does exist for years and I never did really read it as my old Agfa Snapscan 1212u was doing an excellent job on both raw and CGC books for the last 15 years but it died yesterday and I am now left without scanner. Anyone could recommend me a few good scanners that will work on Windows 7 and that I can buy in a store (like Best Buy, Staples, etc.)? I don't want to hunt for used scanners on eBay or Craiglist and it seems that most scanners recommended here are old ones. I don't want to pay above $400 either. Feel free to PM me and thanks in advance.
  6. twice what i paid for me 9.6 Sell it today and buy it back a couple years later for 50% of the price
  7. The centering and gloss on this copy are amazing, full stamp too. It took me a while to find such a lovely copy. A perfect example of "buy the book, not the label".
  8. Yeah I only need a few,or else I would be all over it. Buy the run and re-sell issues # 5,7,8, Annual 1 to BrianR
  9. There is a full high grade run of Vampire Tales for sale in my last FS thread: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=8611126#Post8611126

  11. I had a previous copy of this book that I finally sold two years ago in the Forum because it was pressed. A few weeks ago, I was lucky to win this beauty on eBay for a great price. No need to say, it is now a keeper
  12. Didn't you read his explanation it went something like this: I tried twice to read until the end but felt asleep on both times
  13. Had another smooth transaction with David, he is a great repeat customer and a great person to deal with (thumbs u
  14. Take his word for it. I'm just pointing it out. I'm actually bidding on another one of the seller's books. does jscomics still have a zillaf sort of solid reputation or am I confusing myself? He never had and never will have the same reputation
