  1. Just asking but is probation list only for Board public transactions or also includes transactions made through PM in the Forum ?
  2. Got some nice Spideys from Ken, awesome seller, highest recommendations !!
  3. Me and my team got jammed three full days in a snowstorm this summer in my first attempt to climb Denali so I had a good idea how nature can be merciless sometimes.
  4. "To the top of Denali" by Bill Sherwonit and "Into thin air" by Jon Krakauer.
  5. +1 Now if the book was not pressed but got an upgrade on a straight resub I can live with that as CGC grading is just an opinion and its grading is very irregular and unpredictable sometimes. But sure I will appreciate any more info on the book. If the book got two different grades by CGC doesn't mean either of them was accurate, which is why I often ask the seller through PM what are the defects on the book and/or call CGC for the notes to have more info and decide if I want to purchase the book.
  6. Bought a TOS 37 from Art and I was very happy with the purchase (thumbs u
  7. Problem is that CGC is not a person nor a single entity but a team with graders whom has changed thoughout the years. The same unpressed book could be submitted several times and gets very different grade each time. Some years or specific periods have seen tighter grading by CGC while others have seen much looser grading. Inside it's still the same book that would look the same raw in a Mylar but the big number on the upper left corner has changed. Once again it's all about buying the book or the label. I always ask many questions when possible before buying an expensive CGC book as it is the book I want to purchase, not the label. Some people though do care only about the label, so even if there is a turd in the slab but the label says "9.8" they will trust almighty CGC grading opinion and buy it anyway.
  8. If I have bought a book raw from Zillaf graded by him as VF- a few years ago on eBay, graded it myself raw as NM- and it finally came back as 9.6 from CGC, should I disclose all that information ? What is the accurate grade of that book then ? Or maybe grading is only an opinion, including CGC's grading ?
  9. Was the book pressed or not ? My understanding was that this was a straight resub from an old label to a new label with no manipulation done to the book or did I misunderstand ?
  10. Great repeat customer, always pay quickly, Kaspar is a great guy to do business with (thumbs u
  11. Bongo2001 finally sent payment. However, meanwhile, I had to send other NPB reminders to two other buyers. One is still under discussion, the other one I had no other choice than close the case and get my fees refunded but I lost a sale. I added the buyer to my blocked list: mrpugdog eBay has been horrible recently with more non-paying bidders than ever
  12. I also sold two books to Bongo2001 on eBay and he still did not pay me. I had no other choice than to open a NPB alert

Got a bunch of nice BA Marvels from Ed and I am very happy with purchase (thumbs u
  14. Bought a nice Sgt Fury #13 old label from Dan. Very smooth transaction, will definitively do business with again !
  15. I have too many comics and decided to sell all my Copper/Modern titles to make some space. Books like Preacher, Swamp Thing, X-Men, Daredevil, Spider-Man titles (Web of Spider-Man, Spider-Man, etc) and a few other titles from 1980-today will be for sale. I am the original owner of these and all are raw 9.6/9.8. It will take a few weeks to go through these but will probably sell as full runs. Meanwhile, PMs welcome if there is any title that may interest you.
  16. I should have read this thread until the end and blocked that bidder as well
  17. Kaspar has bought from me several times. Always pay quickly, very friendly and excellent communication. Highest recommendations for this buyer ! (thumbs u
  18. There's a high grade SA slab collector right on this board who's selling/sold just about all his comics because of this trend in the industry. Do you think he's the only one? Meaning more supply and less demand in the future. There still are some HG keys unpressed out there...
  19. Got some accurately graded books from Ken, great packaging and ultra-quick shipment (thumbs u
  20. I had three (raw) hg copies of #33 for sale in the last couple years. I found only one copy of #32 and #35 during all my Turok collecting history and they were part of a full hg complete run I bought several years ago on eBay. They are now sitting in my personal collection. A #35 in raw VF sold for ridiculous prohibitive price on eBay four years ago by a reputable seller (around $600). It is probably the toughest Gold Key Turok to find. There is no GPA sale of this issue. The #34 is also a tough one. The other ones (30,31,33,36-39) are more common (or less rare if you prefer) from my experience. Hope this info helps my fellow Turok collectors
  21. #32 and #35 are probably the two toughest Gold Key Turok's to find in high grade. The #33 is relatively common. If I hadn't already one nice copy, I would have bid to win on that #32
