  1. I would describe it as a ‘booger’. It was easily removed from the cover however it did leave a tiny equivalent size spot on the inside front cover.
  2. Agreed, this business practice might be a bit more palatable if they were also refunding money when the customer is getting grades lower than anticipated. I didn’t get a refund when I submitted (clean/press/grade) under High Value and then ended up with a book that is worth less than $300. But they will charge more if I undervalue something…
  3. Yes, I’ve considered buying another of his cheap listings just to leave a review that outs his tactics. There has been a good bit of speculation here about what his game is. Personally I think he buys restored books on the cheap, cracks them and relists as higher grade and obviously buries little shorthand comments about restoration as an eBay workaround. Shady little .
  4. Agreed , classic great cover with an interesting sounding story synopsis. Bought it - read it - blah… Awesome looking book though!
  5. Appears to be cleanable though, especially on that solid white cover
  6. What a nice find, the front cover looks great, notwithstanding the spine roll. Agree with the others that you had a real chance at a 9.0ish if not for the (back) cover tanning. I have a graded 12cent FF book with similar tanning that was also structurally very nice, like this. It came back a 6.5. The difference is that my book had a white cover so the tanning in the front looked much worse. The back covers and pages are very similar. Having said that I would be very surprised if this graded less than a 7.0 assuming he spine roll gets pressed out. And I agree with many that 7.5 seems the likely grade with a chance at an 8.
  7. What is going on with the staple placement on this book?
  8. How did the pressing go on your front and back Corners? Thought the back damage could be pressed out completely, front probably still shows stress lines?
  9. Nice grade, not sure what book everyone was looking at but seems very appropriate to me, congratulations
  10. I think the crease has you at an 8.0 and then the chip probably down to 7.5
