  1. I torture myself with all the keys I should have bought 30-40 years ago before the internet. I don't need to extra misery of saving old Clink sales...
  2. Your copy has the same line across the center cover as mine (mine is at CGC now). I'd like to think you could see a 9.0 on this one.
  3. Just noticed this on a Daredevil 183 that I was planning to send for a C&P. Looks like a textbook example of a bale mark.
  4. I think the lower front cover and interior pages is a manufacturing defect, but not sure... If so, how much would this affect the grade? Obviously needs a C&P.
  5. FF 171 was the first issue that I bought off the spinner rack and was instantly hooked. In all honesty, it's not particularly a favorite cover, but I post it since it was the first. Love that everybody versus Galactus cover on 243. The sideways cover is probably my favorite from Byrne's fabulous run on the FF. So much so that it was the basis for a commission from Byrne about 10 years ago.
  6. As great as he was, Kirby just didn't do a good Spider-Man...
  7. It's always been this little gray guy...
  8. Note the front cover tear above Mr. Fantastic's head.
  9. I would have liked to have seen where John Byrne would have taken the Hulk.
  10. I'm not sure I've ever seen staples offset as much as these.
  11. It looks like it has a couple of small spine tics that break color.
  12. I was a real late comer then... I didn't pick up Cerebus until 72, but when I did, I was hooked hard.
  13. Yeah, my heart dropped when he said that... I mean I had done the research and knew it was real based on what I knew, but to hear him say that was a kick in the nads for a few seconds.
  14. Just out of curiosity, how many books did Marvel release with the anniversary framing?
  15. It's an authentic 1, though Dave scared me by telling me it was counterfeit when I had him sign it many years ago (he was joking!). I presume with the signature on the inside that it would get a blue label? Though I'm not sure that I will have it slabbed.
  16. This has a couple of prominent defects - the scuffed corner at the bottom of the spine and the scuff on the top of the rear cover.
