  1. They will open it to properly grade it. They won't slab it as is.
  2. So I have a couple of books that I'm not really sure in what tier to submit. They're Incredible Hulk 340 and ASM 301. Each should be a 9.6/9.8, which is where the problem lies. There's a pretty wide range between a 9.6 and a 9.8. The Hulk 340 range is 300/1150 (GPA 90-day average) and ASM 301 is 200/1800. I don't mind paying the High or Unlimited rate should they grade out at 9.8, and assume CGC will charge me the appropriate tier if they are submitted at a lower tier. I guess the real concern is making sure I'm covered in the event the books are lost or some other mishap occurs. Any advice on the best way to submit these? If I submit as Modern, it seems like I'm taking a chance on the FMV replacement (assuming both could possibly be 9.8s), but if I submit at High/Unlimited and they come back as 9.6s, I've obviously been charged near the individual FMV in pressing, grading & postage costs.
  3. It's a nice presenting book. The grade certainly seems harsh IMO.
  4. No huge keys this year, but these are probably my favorite pickups of the year. Pre-hero Atlas monster goodness!
  5. Was hoping this might have come back a grade higher, but not complaining!
  6. AF 15 was reprinted in Marvel Tales 1 and IIRC, was not reprinted again until MT 137. Marvel Tales then apparently skipped a few issues of ASM, and started reprints beginning with ASM 6 in MT 3. I don't recall any of those early ASM issues being reprinted as individual issues since the Marvel Tales run from 137 until 190. I imagine that Af 15 and ASM 1 at least, have been reprinted as Marvel Milestone or some such facsimile edition. The Marvel Masterworks and Omnibus collections may be the only other options.
  7. What they said - mine have always come together and on one invoice. I assume that you paid for them both at the same time?
  8. It doesn't seem fiscally worth it even if you could see a jump from a 6.0 to say 7.0 (and I'm not even saying that that would be likely or even possible). Per GPA, the 90 day average is about $300 difference and you would easily have that tied up in the pressing and grading costs.
  9. Note the small piece out of the RH edge of the front cover. Thanks for looking!
  10. Based on my recent submittals, you definitely should have them back. Edit: Didn't have this in front of me earlier, but I submitted 2 High Value books and 5 Modern Tier books recently. They arrived at CGC on 10/17 and my card was charged on 10/25. I received the HV books on 10/28 and the MT books on 11/4. Of my 3 total submittals, that was the quickest turn-around.
  11. This pressed out nicely, but I'm still surprised by this grade. I thought I'd be doing good with a 9.0.
  12. 1 bullseye and 6 points for this round. The Pep Comics was this rounds killer.
  13. Oooof! One bullseye. My Romantic Adventures and Nature Boy killed me... Round 3 total of 8.
