  1. Let's see... she looks 17, he looks 45. I can dig it.
  2. I'm sure they had tons of crime comics and other visuals in the art department as they were preparing to shoot the Untouchables. DePalma is a notorious "borrower". The thumb is there, just accidentally coloured red like the coat of the person being carried in the b/g.
  3. Picked this up recently. Not romance, no girl on the cover but I've always wanted a copy. There's a nice gun moll on the inside.
  4. Strangely enough guitar sales are down. That's why it's good to keep your cards close to your vest. I got Baker deals from dealers back in the day (not anymore) but I didn't flip. If I did would there be difference? Is motive and purity of intent a determination in transparency? We've all walked away from a deal getting the better, it's part of the game. I was offered a chance as an OS adviser. Turned it down. People can glean their own information from sales. So can OS. They choose to remain ignorant.
  5. Not Baker. Stiff and unattractive. Poor composition.
  6. Ahem, I only sold it because I was offered a tidy profit. The person wanted it more than I. Michael graded it as 7.0. It was subsequently graded as such by CGC.
  7. Michael sold the AMF 2/2 to me. I was the first to buy from this collection I believe. I have since sold my copy.
  8. They are better than they were, when CL 25 guided at $45.00 or something. The most valuable TR in their estimation is #1, when we know that's not true. At least they acknowledge these comics are going up. They are missing the nuances and of course actual sale prices. Some books are actually breaking out from the pack. I don't expect much more from them. These are love comics after all.
  9. Also Chamber of Chills 19 went from $1200.00 to $2500.00.
  10. I remember mentioning how last year's Guide jumped Cindy 37 to $1000.00. It has now doubled to $2k.
  11. You got it for a fair price. Despite the flaws it has eye appeal.
  12. Also it would have taken Jon's books twice as long to reach market if he had them pressed.
  13. One of my favourites and a toughie.
  14. His first film role was as James Mason's henchman in Alfred Hitchcock's brilliant North By Northwest. Memorable in that and in everything he did.
  15. Between the dental bills and car repair, it's time to sell something. Here's a beautiful CGC 6.5 copy of Detective Comics 122. This book has jumped in popularity and price in recent years. A raw 2.0 sold on a Heritage weekly for over $2200.00, which seems to suggest a $1000.00 per point price. This 6.5 stunner with off-white/white pages puts that low grade copy to shame. I'm asking less than 2.5 times that price. SOLD! Thank you for looking.

  17. They sure do a lot of talking for a couple playing tonsil hockey.
  18. As soon as I saw it I wanted it. And if I want it there are others.
  19. I thought years ago with the Cage collection that if the books were cracked, they'd lose their designation.
