  1. Heres pics of the counterfeit issues. I left the pictures huge so you could read the pages. Issue 1: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v247/JNCOPosterboy/The%20Collection/Comics/GobbledyGook%20First%20Print/Counterfeits/Issue%201/ Issue 2: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v247/JNCOPosterboy/The%20Collection/Comics/GobbledyGook%20First%20Print/Counterfeits/Issue%202/
  2. I agree that $500 was too much. I sent an offer of $200, he countered with 3, and I took it. Here is the thing for me...My TMNT collection (which is...unreasonably extensive) is all about historical documentation and preservation. Now, bootleg or not, these books undoubtedly hold a significant place in the history of Mirage. So I felt they were worth every penny. Especially since these books are just about as rare as the original prints as far as the number of them that are still out there go.
  3. Just picked these up off ebay tonight (so the images are from ebay, but will take my own when they get here) Theres are the dreaded COUNTERFEIT copies of GobbledyGook 1 and 2. They are the infamous yellow cover copies with the poor forging of Kevins signature in them.
  4. Yup. That picture is from the auction of which I bought the book. I'm lazy, so sue me :-P
  5. Picked this up the other day. First Print Double Cover of #3. Probably going to get it signed and slabbed at SDCC. The only flaw in the book is the buckle in the lower right.
  6. Thought I would come join the club :-) I've never really been a stickler for condition. I mainly enjoy CGCed books for the preservation aspect. I'm not a grade hunter, so I'm happy with my #1 @ 7.0 w/White Pages :-)
