  1. For pure nostalgia, Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends. As an adult, of sorts, Cowboy Bebop.
  2. I'm going to be ornery. I don't have a problem with these actors voicing the characters, but I would much rather see true voice actors taking these roles. There's an interview with Billy West where he expresses a lot of frustration at how voice actors are, for the most part, cut out of these big budget productions for the sake of the star's name power. He says something to the effect, "what the hell, they can only do one voice".
  3. Totally agree. With all the secrecy they are using to guard the next MCU phase, I am counting on some major surprises.
  4. Still say the main hero which takes out Thanos is going to be a suprise that no one expects...
  5. I assume they are setting the stage for the main storyline to be adapted as well. Hopefully they do a good enough job with the material where that happens.
  6. Good call! https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7215646/
  7. Don't like at all. Sam Strike looks like a kid who needs to lose his virginity.
  8. Watched about 1/3 of the episodes. Not great but not bad and the short run time makes them a nice and quick diversion which requires no real investment as each episode is self contained.
  9. Every few years I repost this for the newer members or for anyone who needs a reminder! The Last Galactus Story as printed across several issues of EPIC Illustrated back in the midish 80s has been compiled for your reading pleasure in the Magazine Forum.
  10. That was my guess as well. Not my first choice for Gurney but one I can live with easily.
  11. The wife and I will be seeing this at the cinema, unless Dune beats it to the gate, it will probably the first movie I'll have seen in the theatre since Force Awakens at the IMAX.
  12. It's cool with me. Just means you have some great movie watching ahead of you! Get you a bottle of cheap whiskey and a box of cheroots and settle in for the long haul (pancho and cowboy boots optional).
  13. Yep, like all the choices so far (or at least nothing is terribly off-putting).
  14. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spaghetti_Western When I use the term I am referring to ONLY the Sergio Leone films with Clint Eastwood.
  15. About two months ago I discovered that my wife had never seen a single spaghetti western. Promptly purchased all of them on Amazon digital and we spent the next two weekends watching every one (and the Outlaw Josey Wales because why not). We loved it. Definitely a nice change of pace from super-hero movies if you find yourself burnt out with that genre.
  16. Oh if I only had a dollar for every jackalope on twitter with an axe to grind.
  17. Sort of glad he is getting a chance to continue with the series but a little apprehensive. After a very very mediocre Guardians 2 I was looking forward to someone else taking the reins. The formula is a bit stale at this point.
  18. Finally some solid info... https://editorial.rottentomatoes.com/article/everything-we-know-about-the-lord-of-the-rings-amazon-series/ Very interested now! Second age setting provides a lot of possibilities. A Game-of-thronish Numenor type story might be interesting if done right.
  19. Very cool but I am guessing my all-time favorite won't be adapted.
  20. Hot damn! Really enjoyed reading the collections with my daughter when she was younger. Will definitely be following this closely.
