  1. Very cool but I am guessing my all-time favorite won't be adapted.
  2. Hot damn! Really enjoyed reading the collections with my daughter when she was younger. Will definitely be following this closely.
  3. No I did, just regretting that over the past 10 years Kev didnt consult me seeing the poor job he's done with the franchise.
  4. I think Captain Marvel as a last minute insert into ten years of story telling, and then trying to use that character as the pivot point for the next 10 years is a poor decision. They need a character which has build up and continuity with more than just the bookend of the first ten years. Of course, Kevin never saw fit to get my advice before so he will just have to live with those consequences!
  5. https://tvline.com/2019/02/13/good-omens-premiere-date-amazon-neil-gaiman/ May 31st.
  6. Bad reviews won't dictate my behavior for watching a movie that I've already decided I would like to see, but they may dictate whether I pony up for the expense of seeing that movie in the theatre or whether I wait for a rental on Amazon.
  7. That would be the Carol Danvers of my adolescence
  8. I think I've lost the Marvel love. Took me 10 months to finally watch Avengers IW and I enjoyed the movie well enough but just didn't experience the same level of fun I once had going to a Marvel movie. I think it started with Dr. Strange, a movie I was absolutely all onboard for. Movie finally comes out and somehow I don't make it to the theatre. I finally catch it on Amazon and, again, enjoyed it but never rewatched it. I started reading the Avengers during their mega-team days and Carol Danvers definitely had my adolescent affection. I just cant seem to reconcile Brie Larson in that role. She reminds me more of Alicia Silverstone from Clueless. Someone more appropriate for a teen comedy etc. Not sure how common the Marvel exhaustion is but I cant be the only one in that boat.
  9. I've just been looking for an excuse to post that image more than anything...
  10. Does anyone think that the book series will simply end with an adaptation of the HBO storyline, maybe a few side-arcs to fill out the pages but nothing greatly changed?
  11. At best Brie Larson is proving incredibly tone-deaf in the way she fashions her statements. Would have been much more productive to simply state she wanted more diversity in film reviewers for her movie rather than singling a race and gender to attack. At worst, she is advocating for some sort of cultural segregation in which only certain groups can review certain films. Most likely she is just young, naive, and on social media. I doubt anyone who seriously planned to see this movie will change their plans as a result of her comments.
  12. Totally floored by how popular this movie proved. Gives me hope that the comic book movie genre isn't on the decline as long as studios are ready to move beyond the standard characters and make a quality product. If Warner can produce a few more of these, then perhaps we might actually have the foundation of a DCEU instead of relying on the tried, true, and boring Batman/Superman duo as the core pillar.
  13. After hearing a few DMT stories on Joe Rogans pod cast and then digging further for other DMT experiences on the internet, I can safely say that nothing in contemporary fantasy now seems too fantastic.
  14. He's a flake for sure but damn if he doesn't make the best action movie lead we have ever had (arguably I guess).
  15. Fair enough. Hopefully JJ gives us something for everybody (a tall order).
  16. @Chuck Gower Do you have any criticisms of Rey's character development at this point and if not are you just waiting for the trilogy to play out before you make up your mind (or are you completely happy with her character arc as it has been developed)?
