  1. Ummm....if you have a book that is NM or higher and want to preserve it, you wouldn't read it. For the books that are in high grade that you want to read, go out and buy a cheap lower grade reading copy. That way you won't have to risk damaging your HG book.
  2. The bag that it is sealed in will degrade the book over time. I would suggest you liberate the comic from the bag and put it in a mylar with backing board. If you want to submit it to CGC that is your choice also.
  3. Flash Comics? Flash 88? What the heck is that? GA? Is Shade really that old of a character Flash Comics #88 is correct.
  4. If you're talking Sorcery, I'd agree with you. On the otherhand, I've found the Madhouse issues much more difficult to find in HG. Jim Yes the Madhouse issues are very difficult to find in HG. Ever since they first showed up in this thread I have been doing searched for them. Although they do pop up they are rarely in HG condition. The highest being around VF.
  5. Not for too much longer I fear as these books are generating interest among collectors. Especially the first two issues of "Chilling Adventures in Sorcery" as told by Sabrina. OPG has them at $50 and $25. Even so, I doubt they garner much interest in general. Still much, much cheaper than putting together a run of HOS or HOM in the same grade. Agreed, but to horror collectors who are newly exposed to these Red Circle titles finding they can obtain fairly HG copies for much less than the "House" books, I believe demand will increase hence prices will rise. And how much supply do you suppose is out there? I find there a lot more HG copies of Red Circle books than I do of either HOS, HOM or even Ghosts. Although 1 and 2 don't show up as often, which are the valuable ones. The others are fairly common in HG from the ones I have seen one Ebay and at shows. If you can find HG copies of 1 and 2, those will increase in value. The rest proabably not.

  7. Yep...other than the Atlas/Seaboard horror titles, Red Circle is the quickest way of getting a complete horror collection from a publisher. Jim also the cheapest way to get a collection. The Red Circle horror books hardly sell for more than a few dollars.
  8. Actually I would have passed by it also, but it was a pedigree and there are hardly any on the census.
  9. I just got this in the last Heritage auction. Although not a horror cover I do like the layout of it. That knight kicks butt, reminds me of those Batman covers.
  10. I know this booklet was pictured before in this thread, but because of seeing it here I was able to find one at a LCS. I just really love the cover. For only $6.00 I had to buy it.
  11. I was going to bid on that too, but I felt bad about winning this book.
  12. I think because Matt Mark made the mistake of not mentioning the Northland pedigree in the title. Many people probably passed by it without a thought.
  13. Which one? the Sgt Fury or the Sub-mariner?
  14. 'nother recent purchase that hasn't arrived.
  15. Recent 2nd chance purchase - haven't received it yet, but looking forward to it's arrival.
