  1. I have two of the modern TPB's I can send you to read. You can send them back when your done.
  2. Sterling, there are plenty of these books on the market right now. In fact, horror has within the last year or so made itself a viable genre with smaller publishers again. That is one reason why I review many modern books in my fanzine, because I know that most "advanced" collectors are caught up in a back-issue vacuum, completely oblivious to the current comic market. As for HoM, I haven't heard a peep about it coming back, but I don't think you can ever count that out. Frankly, I'm surprised DC/Vertigo hasn't leapt at the chance to cash in on the current popularity of horror comics, and Marvel as well. Marvel has released the Essential Tomb of Dracula and The Witches ( Dr. Strange type stuff), but they haven't delved into true anthology horror yet. As for Vertigo, I would have thought they would be all over it by now, but they are completely missing the boat. I'm very let down! It would be cool to see HoM back, but i don't see DC/Vertigo and Marvel doing anything about it. It just looks like IDW are going to rule the Horror section of comics in moderns
  3. Hey UV, which Wonder Woman issues were you looking at reading?
  4. Kudos to Oldguy for a recent Ebay BIN. Although misdirected I did get the book. Thanks OG!
  5. You are in the Joe and Khaos crowd! You only get official recognition if you buy a comic from me! WAIT!! I DID buy a book off of you!! Remember? The Giant-Size POS FF book that was nigh-comically (pun intended) overgraded??
  6. Here is that issue that contained the Frankenstein story. Wolfman/Kaluta on this one.
  7. You can read? By read, I mean just looking at the pretty colored pictures. I am getting pretty good at not coloring outside the lines too.
  8. To me it makes it more fun, reading the issues. I mean you can go on Mike's site or MileHigh and just look at covers. It amazes me sometimes how interchangeable the stories could be in the horror books. I mean you could take a HOS story and put into a HOS or Ghosts or Unexpected. The stories stand alone and are actually kinda fun to read. No continuity to have to know.
  9. you got 2/4 correct. I know you read them, it's cover whores that I was refering to, they know who they are.
  10. I have to tell you guys that looking at these horro covers gets kinda boring when the same covers keep getting posted. Does anybody actually read any of these books? I will post a backup story contained within a bronze horror book. Can you guess the title, issue number, artist, and writer of this story? How well do you know bronze horror?
  11. Same here... I need reading material... oh... and don't spell my R-o-c-k-e-t-e-e-r either Actually CGC's turnaround times are faster than 'House. Although he does have the best prices around. Kudos to divadrabnud for a smooth transaction.
  12. HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY !!! Just got a shipment from TBPKing (aka Lighthouse aka ShippingSlug) I have that feeling like seeing a 9.8 copy of Hulk 181. I can't wait to get home and start reading. Those Gerber guides are awesome. I have to get the 1st two copies.
  13. Not only that, but her hair doesn't cast a shadow. Hmm...is she perhaps the monster?
  14. Kudos to Lighthouse for sending me 2 books I ordered from TBPKing. (Although I did complete the sale May 24th and even sent extra money to cover Priority shipping.) They arrived today and I am happy because of the price break he gives. (Now if I can ever get my other orders out of him.)
  15. How many hours did you take for that one? (Take a few more.) Are you guys still having your little tiff? Remember, spontaneity is the essence of wit, which is a bit difficult to carry off on a message board. We're ALWAYS tiffing... it's what we do. (And the "hours" comment was crafted specificially because Deathlok is timing all of my posts. I'm sure he found it hysterical. But now that I think about it, probably not. Don't you love it when the parenthetical aside is five times larger than the main content?) Kinda original...but needs some work. Perhaps you should rethink your post.
  16. Git on outta here, yew! Git! :::stomps feet::: Okie dokie, JED! (brushes hayseed off self, leaves for higher realms.) Why was that feller covered in hayseed??? Where's my darlin' daughter Petunia?!?!?!?!?!?!?! PETUNIA! You better not have gone and gotten yerself spoiled by another vagabond! I believe you mean "spoilt." Redneck 101 -- t instead of ed. I'm sorry... I was so drunk/stoned/hopped-up/renal failurated on Granny's moonshine last night that, well, I'm afraid I let my redneck grammar slide. Almost 13 hours on this response, MajorLastWord This is a message board, not a chatroom, Timelok. Fortunate for you then, otherwise you wouldn't be able to keep up with the pace. At elast we can count on you for a response. I guess I will wait to hear from you. Took you over 3 and a half hours for that? You're right I should have taken the full 12 hours, like MajorBlunder. I would have come up something more entertaining for you. It's a good thing we are here to entertain you, else you might have to go out in public.
