  1. Not only that, but 26 copies in existence doesn't mean 26 copies available. Supply & demand.
  2. Yup. I've made this point several times over the years. Ecologists refer to it as the "shifting baseline". You either pay what it's worth at the moment, or you pass. You don't pay what it was worth.
  3. The auctions are now two days. You won't get an invoice until later.
  4. That book is so hard to find in nice shape. Stupid bugs.
  5. I'd love to see those huge ones in NM. Mighty Mouse, X-Mas, Gift, etc. Must be really spectacular, but I think I'm more likely to see a unicorn.
  6. This one is incredibly rare and a very underrated cover IMO. I put in in a trifecta with Pep 20 and Zip 22 when it comes to WWII symbolism.
  7. I went through a chubby chaser phase and still have a soft spot in my heart for the thick ones. One I regret letting go was a nice copy of Billy Bunny's Christmas Frolics that I got from Mr. B way back when.
  8. Nobody in their right mind is choosing the More Fun. Let it go.
  9. The inks look too clean for Burgos to me. His were more chaotic. Like JC Coll, only with less intent. The guy facing the cop directly, reddish blond hair with the flat top, his face seems tellingly, but I think it's the lack of detail that makes it stand out and look like Toth. I think that's a red herring. The font where it says "stationary" has an Everett feel too, but I would be reluctant to use a font as an identifier. Severin drew most of the covers leading up to this one. This is clean enough and has his stiff feel, but the art doesn't quite match and he typically signed. I don't see Kida at all.
  10. 1) Atlastales says Kida, but only on a guess. 2) that is the least threatening cover in the history of crime comics! "Officer, there's kids outside... LOITERING!!!
  11. GCD says he did some Bob Hope, Jerry Lewis, and Fox & Crows. They also say All Star Western 88 (I'm guessing the background figures, but records attribute solely to Kane) & Billy Buckskin 3, but Atlastales says BB3 is signed by Severin. Nothing else.
  12. Repro cover. I'm guessing the moire pattern is seen on the cover itself and not just the scan?
  13. Using CCS you maximize the damage from pressing to minimize the damage from shipping.
  14. Great stuff Danny. Congrats on a big accomplishment!
