First up, X-Men #12 - CGC 8.5 White Pages. I was pretty surprised that this didn't come back a 9.0 or higher. I guess the diplomatic phrasing is "a beautiful example of its grade" . The last sale on Heritage was a few days ago and, imo, a far inferior copy. Yes I think there is a certain point where it’s very difficult to tell from photos. I will say that, in person, there was no doubt to me that this was a 9.2/4, just because of how it literally felt brand new when I held and read it.
