Hey! So sorry I didn't catch this before others did. so yeah, you can basically tell them not to slab it if it doesn't reach a certain grade. It prolongs the grading process sometimes, but if you're like me and you really only slab to sell or if they're so high grade you don't want to mess them up, it's a great service.

Some of Jack's best and most subtle early facial expression work (the apotheosis for me is probably the crazy sour doom face), and still - it seems - the uncredited god tier coloring of Stan Goldberg

Next up, Iron Fist #14 CGC 9.8 OW/W. Another great example. I half expected this to come back with one of those new fangled 9.9s but I guess you don't get that with OW/W pages . But I couldn't find a flaw on this book. Last sale on Heritage was two weeks back for $3840 and shows an upwards trend in the book, but that one has White Pages. First up, X-Men #12 - CGC 8.5 White Pages. I was pretty surprised that this didn't come back a 9.0 or higher. I guess the diplomatic phrasing is "a beautiful example of its grade" . The last sale on Heritage was a few days ago and, imo, a far inferior copy. Yes I think there is a certain point where it’s very difficult to tell from photos. I will say that, in person, there was no doubt to me that this was a 9.2/4, just because of how it literally felt brand new when I held and read it.

Here’s something interesting - I found this copy on eBay with the exact same defect which is now making me think I should take a second look to make sure that “scuffing” isn’t part of the artwork
