  1. Case in point: I just received 2 books from the Alex Ross signing - the scans look spectacular, but in person, one book has a small (but noticeable) scratch on the back, so back it goes. The scratch is not present on the scans.
  2. Very happy with how this pair turned out (they're even a matched number on the COAs...):
  3. @CGC Mike - hopefully they'll make this permanent, it's a great feature improvement and given the recent price increase, additional ROI for customers. I know I've struggled getting decent pictures of my slabbed books and would welcome the ability to even screenshot the provided scans just to have as a digital reference rather than a sub-par over-glared photo I took with my phone. Additionally: this may actually help CGC itself - I've had a bunch of mechanical issues recently, scratches, scrapes and whatnot that I've had to send back in for reholdering - if the scan is happening after initial encapsulation, having the those scans before the books continue in the process will likely lead to the CGC being able to track down where in the process ME books are getting damaged; resolve that issue, and CGC will have far fewer ME books coming back (saving on shipping, reholdering costs, etc.). Having the scans really seems like a win-win situation for both customer and CGC.

  5. My 2 Alex Ross signed books shipped today, both have scans (and they look fantastic!) - if this a policy change, I'm all for it.

  8. Hi - I just noticed that this cover - Hawkeye 10 (2013): Is a bit too similar to an Army of Darkness #2 (2015) variant cover: I'm guessing that both of them are references to a movie poster (maybe 70s Italian?) - I can't imagine the AoD is referencing the Hawkeye book... anyone know?
  9. Thx - yeah, my confidence would be pretty shaken if CGC didn't pick up on the stain - it's really too bad, everything else about the book seems in pretty good shape considering.
  10. Curious to see what y'all think this would grade at - the covers, spine and pages seem within range for a mid-grade book, but there is a small stain and a crease on the inside cover:
  11. Hi - curious to see it's possible for a CGC authorized facilitator to crack an SS slab (yellow label) for a follow up signature and still retain the authentication of the previous signature(s). Yay? Nay?
