  1. Apparently the Official Pix presale was for Mark Hamill's appearance at SF FanExpo: https://fanexpohq.com/fanexposanfrancisco/mark-hamill-live/ cc @Chamber of Chills So... I imagine there will be a facilitator or two going.. maybe? Auto price didn't change tho - still $500
  2. New Mutants #18 Direct Edition NM- 9.2 Gamora #1 Direct Edition @ 30% off - thx!
  3. Follow up question on getting a witness for the signings - do the witnesses charge..? I know when I use a facilitator there are sometimes additional witnessing fees, but maybe that's just with witnesses not directly working for the CGC..? I also got a email to sign up for a 'signature reservation' today - it opened at 10am, I forgot about it & checked it this afternoon, and all of the reservations for Peach Momoko are now filled up - looks like she's signing from 10am-2pm which seems... a lot. Does that mean she won't be signing books if you don't have a reservation for a time slot? She was also the only one with reservations even available, so maybe other artists are just walk up?
  4. @golfplyr there are a bunch of facilitators in the submission drop down list that are going, just click SS > choose a facilitator, and the 2nd drop down will show the cons they are attending.
  5. OfficialPix just announced a signing with Mark Hamill today - sold out in ~6 hrs at $500 a pop clearly there is some demand for him…
  6. I imagine everyone is busy prepping for NYCC, but are any facilitators planning on going to the FanExpo in San Francisco? https://fanexpohq.com/fanexposanfrancisco/
  7. Impressive... most impressive. So... totally sold out in like 6hrs? crazy. My thinking re: the $$ for the CGC fees, is that if you're paying $500 for the sig, that (at least in OfficalPix thinking) 'makes' the book worth over $400, ergo the high CGC tier. Tbh that doesn't make much sense to me personally but I can see a marketing team playing that up.
  8. There are tons of facilitators going - you can check the list on the submissions page. (sig series, select facilitator, see if they're going to NYCC) - fwiw I'm using AlphaOmega Certifications, they've been responsive & the books I sent to them for the FanBoy Expo last month went well.
  9. I was thinking about that as well - maybe as soon as he signs it it's worth over $400 and therefore is 'high value'..?
  10. Oof you add in the CGC fees and it's well above the Michael Keaton sig. Yikes.
  11. Transformers 17 NM $10 Transformers 19 NM $3 (Pg 19) 1987 G.I. Joe And The Transformers 1 NM- $15 at 20% off - thx!
  12. GI Joe #141 Direct Edition not sure how i missed that one…
  13. Didn't quite get the colors right, but it's hard to complain about these...
  14. I’d resubmit or go to a 3rd party. I did the exact same (twice, actually) - thought a book was in nm/m & I sent it in for grading, only to have and it come back an 8.0 - resubmitted for pressing at CGC and came back a 9.8! Ymmv… But yeah - for the $15/20 it seems like a no brainer to have it get slabbed in as good condition as possible…
  15. Thx @devald - I haven't done any in person signings before, so I'm trying to be as prepared as possible Fyi, I downloaded the NYCC mobile app - most of the artists have a booth number already - and there are a bunch of additional artists listed that are not shown on the NYCC Guests page: John Giang (J-26) Tyler Kirkham (A-43) Patrick Gleason (D-06) Mike Mayhew (B-16) Zu Orzu (I-21) Pablo Villalobos (J-07) There are probably more, but those are the ones that caught my eye...
  16. Question on in person signings: I'm planning on attending NYCC and have a few books I'd like to get signed by attending artists: Fiumara, Artgerm, Sienkiewicz, etc. When I go to the CGC table to get a witness, can that person come to witness all of the signings of the different artists at once, or do I have to do it one at a time, ie, go with the witness to the Artgerm table, then return to the CGC table for paperwork or whatever, then go back to the Sienkiewicz table with the next books, etc. ? thx - this will be the 2nd con for me & my funko obsessed kiddo 👍
  17. Thanks @MattM CS! - not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing to be known by CGC Customer Support... : )
  18. Thx @waynemel - figured I'd try the new texting support directly feature, and happy to say it worked as advertised! Got a response within a couple minutes and resolved the issue in a few more.
