  1. The book can easily be worth $1500 or $1000 even if they make movies!
  2. Ya I like Kirkman on invincible, but I don't think TWD comics are anything spectacular....
  3. Instant insanity! This is a great series, but this is was a book that sat for $5 in bins not that long ago.....I have to see what ST books I have lying around, I have the last issue, and I think a few others...
  4. 7500 comics for a book in the 2000s is quite a few copies....new movies and shows won't reverse the trend in value. The non key issues are leading the way, I ran an auction of TWD last year - 130 books of the run and they went for a little more than cover. By comparison to many titles that is a good price, but there are a lot of people dumping all their walking deads. The demand for the books is only going to continue to drop....
  5. UXM 221 Seeing continued traction, raws getting up to $50....
  6. Thanks. So the books have a variety of themes, or are they mostly horror?
  7. Walking dead comic prices are coming off (have been over five years) because they were overinflated in value to begin with. Speculators drove it up - like everything else. Number 1 will always be valuable, what it will bottom at, $500, $700, $1000, $1500, etc. is anyone's guess but it's on a downtrend that isn't likely to reverse anytime soon.
  8. I'm not familiar with these, can you take a few pics of some of them? What comics were in there?
  9. I'm also looking at their resto services for a sticker that's attached to my Bone 1; I told CGC that if it can't be removed without receiving anything other than a blue label that I didn't want the service done.
  10. CGC8719042609 2121517 5/13/20 1 400 ECONOMY Received CGC8719042609 2121518 5/13/20 11 2,200 MODERN Received CGC8719042609 2121519 5/13/20 3 600 VALUE Received
  11. That's amazing! Is that GL carpet on the floor too?
  12. You must be a hit with the ladies... Out of the 10k collection - 50 longs. 10 were bulked out, and maybe 20 comics were thrown away....I gave three sets of kids comics (marvel adventures) to my nephews.
  13. I've sold many lots of runs and sets for readers locally....including near complete runs of SSM and Web of Spiderman. Maybe sold another 4-5 longs of titles of complete runs or near complete runs, but I'm pricing them appropriately. Meeting someone today to sell another batch of Jonah Hex comics; she asked me to hold them before the pandemic and followed up with me the other day.
  14. Depends. I know of a buyer that bought a huge collection off of Porky that all hit 9.6/9.8. I can't bid on him (based in Canada) but I would like to at times....
  15. Ya, but in this case I was the first guy in the door. So they won't take a lowball offer and I felt back for the guy, not being able to work due to COVID. I didn't care enough about the lot to dither with the guy there; I'll see if he gets closer to what he's looking for.
  16. Who was asking about Walkthrough? I just shipped a book down there, I'll update when it's received and graded.
  17. It's a good book but it's taken off a lot lately! Same for TOD 1. I have a beauty CGC 9.4 and it's gone up so much I've been tempting to sell it!
  18. Checked out 12 longs today from a 'storage locker' buy....I don't know whether the seller or someone else stripped a lot of the books of value, but the lot was quite awful. Listed for $1500, said he would do $1,000.....maybe in a couple days I'll offer less, it was pretty bad - a ton of it will be bulked out. Saw some decent stuff in there, but not a lot given the quantity....
  19. Not sure if this was mentioned but I hear people asking about Bang 1 by DK a lot.....
  20. He is a very, very large and established seller. Big sellers command good prices from their listings....
  21. You've mentioned that before and I wanted to see if May had been busy for you as April was? For me it hasn't been, but I just sold a couple big slabs, one to a zero feedback buyer in Belgium that was told the book was a good investment. No joke!
  22. Every comic sells....at a price....even if you have to bulk something out, worst case some stuff gets given away. One thing that comic lot buyers do that the flippers don't is they buy everything. I will never go and cherry pick books from an individual selling their collection. In fact today I saw one of 12 longs that was just awful, I didn't even give him a price even though he reeked of desperation. If he still has it in a few days I'll make him an offer....This collection was 100% picked, I don't know by whom but it damaged goods and very tough to sell because of it....
  23. What are you babbling about? My initial comment was about new people coming into the industry that weren't here a few years ago. Have you ever sold books at a show? There are a lot more uninformed buyers of comics now, than there were 3 years ago, and definitely 5-10 years ago. This is what I'm talking about when people are asking about additional prints on books where there's clearly ever only been a single print - Rai 0. Do you buy collections locally where you are? If you do, you'll notice the competition for collections has increased 5-10 fold. Are these all people that are staying in comics, or is it a fad for them and they could all evaporate in a year or two?
