  1. I went to an estate auction with 25 longs, all books crammed in bags without boards. Sadly it was buyers choice, but it was still fun going through all the boxes before they came up for sale.
  2. Some great pickups over the last ten days...I’m on vacation, last week I checked out a very large antique store. The comics were atrociously overpriced, but i picked up some great spices and sauces as they had many local producers. There are a lot of duds during the hunt, but it’s still fun and you can’t get discouraged.
  3. I also want to add, it's great that you have the intensity to keep locking down great stuff after buying collections not fully processed.
  4. Hey, don't bring your anti-CBC Alburrrtah bias into this thread! I've seen a few episodes of that show, it's actually quite good - a lot better than a good chunk of the Netflix/Starz/Crave content...
  5. Hi guys, I've listed an original owner TWD collection on ebay; these books were part of a very large collection I purchased. I don't think they've ever been read, straight from the LCS! https://www.ebay.ca/itm/183942281620 If you have any questions, fire away!
  6. You've made some well thought-out comments, and present a solid case so thanks for this....but I don't see it unfolding like this at all, time will tell.
  7. A good test would be to see if the buyers of this book have some kind of ethnic or biological attachment to the character. As you previously pointed out, before the announcement, very few people gave two about this guy....the book will crumble, make no mistake about it, the $64 million dollar question is when...
  8. Books like this are clearly speculators and flippers, not collectors looking to hold onto it indefinitely.
  9. I don't know how that turns into raws, but I have at least 15 copies of that book in various grades that I can't seem to get $10 (and that's CAD!) for.
  10. LOL Although in this book's defense, in the plethora of copper age comic collections it doesn't seem to be as common as other titles. This is purely anecdotal of course....
  11. Very interesting....who would have thought, even with Harby 1 at very strong prices (albeit not at highs).
  12. There are a lot more punisher fans out there than moon knight....I have no problem selling: trades, sets and runs, and keys/semi keys for Punisher. I don't know if this is localized to my area, but Punisher is a title I am happy to own.
  13. I'm convinced there are a lot of dealers that are more concerned about having expensive wallpaper, than to create a sale transaction. I've even made bulk deals to larger dealers before if I felt it was a decent price to move a chunk of stuff out.....
  14. Coffee (and donuts) are for closers! Congrats and show some pics!
  15. You didn't go to the garage sale Sunday? Good guys, cheap books....thought you'd be all over it.
  16. Not serious, but give us a joke that makes sense! A pregnant nun in a bar is sweating....wait that's not how it goes....see what I mean?
  17. The way things peel off, best to list 'em on ebay then read them after the buyer has paid!
