I'm pretty sure Larry stated earlier in this or another thread that this was going to be his 1st Phantom 2nd print ever. The creators asked me if I would be interested in supporting their second print. I said yep. They designed some killer covers for my group. One of them will be rare as hell... under 150 copies. Some second prints beat the out of their 1st print counterparts on the secondary market. Let's see how thees fare... I hope they fare well, but I was scratching my head on the cover design for the phantom 2nd print, since basically they are a footprint put on top of the Hastings cover for #1. Personally, I like the 1st print Phantoms, but thats just me. B&W are going to be pricey $$$$ on secondary market with only 150. Good luck to anyone hunting these... Ah, see - the Phantom Variant 2nd Print gave us the chance to FULLY reproduce the poster from the Machinima short. Very grateful to have been able to do that. The original Hastings exclusive presented only select elements of the art. So, what you see on the Phantom Variant is the full poster w/ credits and design. LOVE IT. Cool...thanks for clarifying...PHantom 2nd print is the full monty where Hastings was semi...I was mixed up.

$15 for the Phantom 2nd print or the 1st issue 2nd print?

Just a quick question...when you say #4 doubles actuals for #2 & #3, do you mean combined? Lets say #2/#3 were 2K a piece...so either #4 is at 4-5K or (if combined) 8K. Either way, nice jump; if it's the latter, very significant this early in the game.

Sad there were less than 2K issues of #3 per comichron; no wonder no one saw these in the shops. Hopefully we see a nice jump for #4 (hoping for 4K, but 2X might be hoping for too much).

Since #2 and #3 probably have a much smaller print run, no wonder it's not on anyone's shelves. Regardless of the distribution issues posted here (and seen first hand by many), there aren't many 2s/3s to go around in the first place. Shoot, how many people hear of a certain comic when it only has 3K-5K copies printed? I would say that is normal especially when first starting out. Nice to see multiple comments (even of folks who think this won't take off) of people talking to their friends/shop owners about this "unknown" comic (even giving to friends to read); kinda old school way of getting potential buyers on board for the next issues.

The flood be a'comin though after that Phantom sold for $350 and hastings/normal #1 sold for over a hundy...

Anyone have a good idea when the 2nd prints come out for #1 (Phantoms and the regular 2nd print)? Dates and this series are nutters, so I have no idea.

Face Value #1 Comic about Autistic superhero; applaud the publishers on this one as a parent who has an autistic son...can't wait to read my copy to him tonight during bedtime. Don't know if this is a one-time fluke...we'll find out.

Did your order from 1up ever come in? I've had a pre-order in for a long time now too for issues 2 and 3, and so far they haven't even responded to my emails I called them last week Wednesday; they stated still nothing had come in (issue #2 or #3). They stated they had orders for over 75 books supposedly coming in and haven't received anything for Enormous since issue #1. Tried to call today but didn't get anyone (I'll try later). My best guess is its so late in the game that Diamond will probably respond "we have no idea where your copies are" and all the orders will be refunded. Bye Bye getting @ cover copies... Update: No Enormous books this week either...they just finished opening up the boxes. Thanks for the update Hopefully we luck out.... But it doesn't look good Just confirmed all orders were cancelled...

Just checked to see if Jetpack reduced prices to align through Forbidden planet...nope. Jetpack: has the 2 phantoms @ $74.99 and $14.99 Forbidden (converted to $$): has the 2 phantoms @ $33.37 & $8.33 $74.99 seems like a ripoff; doubt anybody will buy at that price. Looks like max of 420 B&W and 1000 color variants. Hopefully the shops ordered them up, but from the earlier statement stating 2nd print looking at 2200 copies, guessing max won't be achieved. Wonder how many of each will be out there?

Just contacted 1up collectables ( I have an order for multiple copies of #2 through them placed early last month) to confirm my order...order still good, but like many, they are waiting. It did not show up again this week. Damn Diamond!!! By this rate, we'll have #2, #3 and #1 reprint on the same week.

I imagine I'm not alone in thinking - repeatedly since reading this book - that the choice of publisher is probably not going to help them. Does anyone know the story here? Did Image pass on it? I don't see why they would, it is a quality book and they published the oversize treasury edition which, arguably, one would have to think would be a harder pitch. If this was an Image title the hype would be otherworldly, as is, the hype is pretty impressive considering we're only two issues in. Sort of. Yup, the Treasury had a larger print run than the regular series #1; how often has that happened? Hopefully the book overcomes the smaller publisher challenges.

Mythopolis Mythopolis didn't look this good(except for the Dancer cover which I think drove prices), didn't read this good, and never came out with an issue after #1. And you'll be waiting a loooong time for number 2. I really hope no one here is sitting on stacks of these hoping for a big payday. Haha, I bought 2 each of the Dancer and I think 1 other cover. If I remember correctly, I sold a set for $20 and didn't let go of the 2nd set because I thought it had a shot. I found a Treasury Enourmous today! (and my 30 something copies of Mythopolis. Thanks Branget ) Well, Myth 2 is written but no artist is attached at present. Part of the problem with books like this is that they would probably have a shot with publishers like Boom or Image, but unless you are Kirkman or Someone of that level you are looking at two years plus to get on the publishing rota. The info on Myth...waiting for #2 to come out for a LONG, LONG time.

Joe (RMA) performed magic on a bunch of books I submitted to him, specifically some Thor 337s. I've been a hoarder and have gathered dozens of Thor 337 in the past ($2-$3 bucks apiece) and they were sitting in my closet for ever. Sent my best to Joe and he performed magic to my 9.2-9.4 books. Of the 35 I sent, 33 were 9.8s and 3 were 9.6s. Through his emails I know he takes his time, ensures the best press available, and when you get submissions he also is excited about your books. Fricken unreal!!! He even called me when he found out a couple books of mine that were pressed (George of the Jungle #1, Avengers 161, Zoo funnies #2) had received top grades in Census!!
