  1. malazan book of the fallen... on toll the hounds i believe...
  2. Update: CGC books finally shipping back; master list can reflect the following for me: 4 each: CGC 9.8 1 each: CGC 9.6 1 raw: Did not pass 9.8 prescreen (likely 9.6) Census has not been updated yet. Current Census: 9.8s: 23 (20 Blue Label, 3 Yellow) 9.4s: 1 24 Total Graded (It will be 28 after my order is reflected). Also, I'm currently in hold pattern for all books. Cheers.
  3. Did it have bindery tears? Just wondering if they are going to let small tears "slide" on this book or not. Appreciate any info!! Nice grade!!
  4. If you bought anytime within the last two months, MNPO1 has been the better investment. MNPO1 was cover until very recently, so probably still a nice bargain for $10-$20 a piece. Now trying to get a NM for that price is a different story. Damn, what a hard book to find in good shape!!!
  5. You should make "the market has spoken" your tag line All the market says about CM 17 2nd print is the ability of a few shills to manipulate the price I'm in the boat of Point One being the more significant book with respect to the character; however, I've also taken advantage of the CM 17 2nd print hype and have sold 7 at mostly greater than $100 each (all BIN). I don't see how you can state shilling is manipulating the market when only 7 of the 32 listings since April were auctions; most have been BIN. A couple of those auctions were shilly (as brought up here earlier), that doesn't take away from the strength of the healthy BINs this book has been seeing. Unless I'm missing something...
  6. All sorts of crazy...for Fine to Very Fine copies even...wow. Captain Marvel 17 2nd Print 5 Copies
  7. Anyone have one of these WITHOUT bindery tears? Pulled out a bunch that I ordered a couple months ago and noticed most, if not all, have bindery tears.
  8. True ....but it is her first story in the book and that variant is a low print as well...I just have really enjoyed how they have handled her story so far... I am a fan and for the first time in a long time have a modern that I want to read and collect. not just flip.... Besides invincible..... That books is great. Too bad she isn't on the cover for the Marvel Now 75:1 variant; it would be a beast. Can't be a bunch of those out there, eh? (I mean, with a title like that, how many would order 75 copies???)
  9. Midtown has more for sale if you still want some (below cover)
  10. Not $500, but halfway there...pretty darn good for a 1 year old book. Completed CGC 9.8 Auction CM17 2nd Print
  11. Looking at Captain Marvel 17 1st print, Comichron has it @ #120 with 18-19K for Nov 2013. (don't know what % is added to get actual numbers, but it's something to work with) Dec 2013 and Jan 2014, Feb 2014 doesn't have Captain Marvel 17 (which would be 2nd print) even listed in the top 400; #400 tops out at around 1.4K for each month. Looking at the bay, not too many listings for CM17 2nd print (I count 32...with some being multiples) sold since January. Currently only two posted. Look at Enormous #3...it has print run of 3-4K and it has 102 sold listings since January with 20 or so listed currently. Not a fair or logical comparison, but its the only one that came to my head this early in the morning.
  12. Yup, but they are sold out now. (2nd print still available though) All New Marvel Now Point One
  13. FYI, Marvel Now Point One 1st print cover still available at Midtown for $5.09 a pop. Stupid cheap considering the possible potential of this book.
  14. Batman 40 is starting to go nutters... Batman 40 Combo/Variant Sets
  15. Midtown still has #5 for $3.39 each. (#4 has almost sold out on Midtown website, though).
  16. Very nice! I was wondering how many, if any at all more 9.8's were going to hit the census. Update on my 5 copies at CGC: 2 passed 9.8 prescreen; 1 didn't. Also have 2 in 9.6 prescreen; they passed but doubt I'll get lucky and get 9.8s out of them.
  17. it was confirmed in the first 100 pages of this thread it came after the treasury ( larry figured out the dates if i remember right)
  18. Also, I think the extremely low print run of Captain #17 2nd print makes it attractive. It's not listed in Comichron numbers, with people speculating print run numbers are in the 1K-2K region. I think the market is muddy as well on this one; no clear winner....yet.
  19. Below is her appearance in issue 14 (lady with earrings). Personally, I tend to stray towards Captain Marvel #17 2nd print with KK on the cover. ]KK 1st Appearance[/url]
  20. - On the other, I was presented with pretty compelling sales data that suggests we've got a very real challenge on our hands to grow readership starting the second arc at #7 as opposed to #1. Even with the show announcement and trade sales being decent we need to grow. - Diamond also offered some good promotional support/outreach to retailers on behalf of Enormous if we were to go with the #1. Hopefully these two bullets make a difference; we all want you to succeed and grow readership.
  21. If true, I'll still get my 1 copy to read; but don't know about hoarding additional copies.
  22. Print Run for #6: #350 Enormous 6 $3.99 215 Ink 3,774 These always seem to be a little low, so probably mid 4s. Unfortunately, going down in numbers...#4 was 4,636 (Couldn't find #5) BUT, hopefully that changes with the media news and the upcoming trade. I think 7K guesstimate is pushing it for #7; lets hope it get back up to 5K range. Plenty of #5s and #6s still at Midtown if you want to order.
  23. I'll probably get them back in late May...turnaround is currently 55 business days. I'm done buying NYCCs; average cost for my 6 is $125 (low of $2.50 to high of $568).
