You know its interesting reading this thread. Because not only are people getting burned but what about the quality of the art itself if it ever does end up being created. I say this because I have always felt bad about getting commissions for the obvious reason being you do not know what you are going to get. But I have gotten commissions in the past and have only had positive experiences and on top of that some artists take that commitment to heart. For instance I have commissioned Greg Simkins,Jota Leal,Dave Sim,and Gerhard. All four of those guys not only completed everything before the deadlines but did some of their finest work just for me. Some artists like the ones I have dealt with really take commissions more seriously then their regular jobs. It is like they feel privileged to have someone willing to pay them to create something special and they deliver. There are artists out there who put more man hours into their commissions and then do for gallery shows and such. I guess it is just interesting for me to see both sides of the spectrum here. I really do feel for the people who have such horrible experiences because for me, it would put a very bad taste in my mouth for the artist, the comic, and pretty much possibly the whole hobby in general with some of these crazy stories.

I am offering for sale the original cover painting to Venom#1 by Clayton Crain. It is his most famous piece and he did not want to sell it according to the guy I got it from. I have a lot into this piece but need some fast funds. I have it priced high on ebay because of the 10k I have into it via trade but for my fellow boardies if you are interested, I would be willing to work with ya, just make an offer and I will get back to ya. It is painted to the edges on a larger then normal board so considerably bigger then standard size. It is already a famous image. The movie comes out in October and probably should have waited but like I said I have something I need to take care of. There is a lot more to worry about then his money people. I have read some things saying that he is being set up and he is being controlled by these thugs and they are calling the shots. From forcing him to cut off ties with his only daughter and his manager of 50 years that has been like a son to him. He almost died the other week because they were hesitant to take a 95 year old man with pneumonia to the hospital. The day after his wife dies these thugs fired all their lawyers. They have been trying to get these nurses to lie about him with sexual misconduct claims. This goes way past the money issue and I am worried about elderly abuse.

Hello Guys, This upsets me to no end. Stan Lee is in dire straits and there is nothing anyone seems to be able to do about it. I applaud Neal Adams, J.Scott Cambell, Peter David for trying to bring this to peoples attention. I was just thinking out loud, is there nothing that can be done? thanks, Matthew
