  1. It's a 0.5, but the numbers are reversed. https://comics.www.collectors-society.com/WCM/ComicView.aspx?PeopleSetComicID=342997 Super nice copy ! Holy mama mia! That book has been exchanged around these boards before. I'm glad it is within our inner circle. And here it will stay. I truly plan on never selling this one. Its been a lifetime goal to obtain a 31 like this. I'm very happy with this 'um I think I owned it 3x before selling it to bat-man way back when
  2. he is aware (generally) of their value... but when you have the kind of money he has, it really doesn't significantly register Has he hoarded GA as well ? nope, only SA keys and books of the sort...he grew up in the early 60's and that was "his" era

  4. I would guess there are no more than 200-300 or so raw copies out there that are high grade (8.0 or higher.) 1962 was still the "let's read everything to death" era. good question... I know that 2 of the 60 copies from one collector/hoarder are 9.0 range...and maybe 2-3 that are 8.0 range (and this assuming no resto....the 2 that are in fortresses I didn't take out to examine)...the majority of the copies are vg or lower and a few are probably mid grade... again, I can't "extrapolate" any info from 2 data points, but surely 5% or less is as good of a guess as any....
  5. 2 days ago I asked one of our great danes how many af15's were left out in the wild.... he barks to count....2 days later, he's still barking I realize now it was a dumb question to ask....
  6. from a retailing perspective, this is how I value: ww 1 are about 4000-4500 a point Sen 1 are about 5000 a point as 8 is about 7000-7500 a point
  7. *Ahem*....I discussed it. -J. I said "that" much hehe
  8. something else we haven't discussed "that" much in this thread is that based on sampling Ive seen, the majority of the raw copies are lower grade or restored.... not as many really sweet untouched high grade copies out there in the wild that I have seen or know about (a few, but not many)
  9. Likely a former SS that somebody cracked out? Either way it would never be a blue label now so it's pretty obvious why it's being sold raw. -J. Except it's not for sale. It's for display. And I asked. No. It's never been graded by CGC or anyone else. fairly obvious the right top edge and parts of the right edge have resto ...nice looking none the less
  10. Who said you're going to win it? Me, myself and I
  11. My yard boy just confirmed 20 copies of af15 exist
  12. I actually "bought" his 2/1 and 2/6 years Ago but then he changed his mind and refused to honor the sale .... But one day I will own them !!!!
  13. Polling the employees of Olive Garden. 20k is their cumulative response But I didn't dare tell them they were wrong for fear of food tampering
  14. Heading to chow time buffet. They will surely know
  15. The sisters of the holy Mary of grace covenant says 10,500. Now I'm confused again
  16. That is a stunner Rick. Sorry I couldn't bring myself to part with my copy, but glad you found this high grade beaut! Was that the copy that you missed on CLINK? I believe it is one in the same...luckily the owner took pity on me I still need a 2/1 and my amf run is complete!!!! someone help me find one
  17. If 10K is all that's left, then Baby Boomers destroyed almost 95% of the extant copies. Damn you baby boomers! hard to argue with bag boys
  18. Ok everyone. I asked our bag boy at the grocery store tonight. He told me 10k sounded about right. Debate over
  19. Gotta wait 2 months And then hope no one wants more than me
