Could you give seminars to other retailers? I mean really I just visited like 9 shops on my vacation and at least 50% of them need it. won't help... I don't have a store to provide any income...I treat it as a hobby that I need to a least break even on (Im not opposed to making money, but it is not my motivating factor).... we sell entertainment, we have fun, we provide a place for like minded folks to socialize.... to me, that's a good day...

ahh, that is the 5K question, isn't it.... and since I specialize in picking these type books up (ie AS 8 I was buying for years before the recent explosion), surely that is one answer /opinion I will keep to myself If you don't mind me asking how many copies of AS 8 do you have? I had 9....sold 8 of them...have bought 2 recently just to have...so 3 total right now...but the huge spreads are "gone" imo

I would say no..... Goodwill with regular customers goes a long way. bingo...all went to reg subscriber/pull list customers that don't normally order but wanted off the rack (not off the street folks)...just those that support us week in and week out....

one I will leak, because there just aren't enough copies out there to buy to really impact market, is action 15...given what 7,10, 13 have done, and what 23 has always done, it is "logical" that 15 has TREMENDOUS growth potential over next few years... Action #15 is the Tec #33 of that run. could be....still has a lot of room imo (I know I am still buying every copy I can shhhhh)

I feel a little "dirty".... I sold 10 copies of tmnt 44 yesterday for...gulp...$3.99...FULL cover..... I generally don't sell any new reg. release at more than 10% off cover, and most at upto 35% off cover....these were a reorder I placed based on some info I got a couple of weeks ago, but I still felt "dirty" selling them at no discount

I agree, grabbed a few myself. This book was available for ordering when Spider-Gwen mania was running wild, could have been overlooked by many, could be under-ordered. One to keep an eye on for sure. this book is not even out till next week, how did you already pick them up (just curious)

The "hype" caused us to prematurely sell out... Folks in the store would tell incoming customers "you'd better get a vader 3...yada yada". I normally don't sell out in one day but did today. Luckily diamond made more available for a short time this afternoon and I loaded back up

Why do you find it strange that people are speculating? Just curious. usually short print runs are where speculation would be profitable... dv 3 has a huge print run and lots of stores have tons on the shelves.... seems like there should be ample supply relative to "reg" demand... From an LCS in my area - owner tells me the rumor he heard is that there was a printing defect that wasn't discovered until after half the batch had been printed, so only half of the orders went out. I don't think this is a scarce book, and I wouldn't pay more than cover for one personally, but I could be wrong. called diamond and this is not true

I still have over 100 copies of Darth Vader 3 on my shelf...but I did just put a limit of 1 per local customer... I sold completely out of 1 and 2 and will sell out of this too, but strange that folks are speculating on it fyi...I am not offering this comic for sale, so please don't pm me...I have enough stock for my locals only...just reporting
