  1. Even one newly revealed Centaur per week would qualify as carpet-bombing! Bomb away, man! (thumbs u well alright then, if you insist! without further ado, we continue with my copy of the first centaur issue of funny pages, Vol. 2 #6 from March, 1938. Nice Bob Wood girl art cover, and another one that i've seen less than a half dozen times. when I first starting collecting centaurs, I wanted the "first" official one...so this is one of my earliest centaur purchases:
  2. i wish he'd sell me about 290 of them
  3. the power to get dudes to pay big $'s for her comics
  4. I have Bail's All Star 50-57 ...so, both our hands have "touched them "
  5. unfortunately, you will note that is the only SA I don't actively stock
  6. I can tell you're excited. It's the grail effect. Beautiful copy as well.
  7. Holy ! It is an amazing sight. Just curious...did you sell a lot of it Gator? we sold quite a bit actually...a couple of af15's, 2 jim 83, an ff 1, several TTA's, several ASM's, etc.. Based on what you sold, I guess it's true what they say about the demand for Marvels vs DCs. did sell one bb28
  8. Thanks guys. This is a 7.0-ish looking book that is super flat and appears to have been hardly read, if at all, but likely not handled properly as evidenced by a small missing triangle on the bottom corner back cover and a one-and-a-half-inch long vertical tear, also on the back cover. The white pages sealed the deal for me. Happy to be a co-member of Club JIM83! it is a sweet copy for sure (thumbs u A Cane shouldn't ever thank a Gator, but a tip of my hat and "thanks" to G.A.tor for getting me into Club JIM83. Yep. Even though I've owned a raw 4.5 copy since 1998, I've been wanting to get an upgrade for quite some time. Just last year, G.A.tor helped me to acquire the best possible JIM#83 that I could afford (CGC blue 6.5 OW on page 17 of this thread). Ever since then ....... I almost forgot ...so many books, so little memory

  10. I could have sold 2 more af15's and another ff 1, but once I sell my "quota" (relative to how many copies I have , and replacement costs), I don't discount...so, while I got pretty decent offers, I had to hold out for full asking, and "slow" sales...

  13. It's a shame you don't have a better selection of early actions.
  14. Very impressive, Rick! Thanks for sharing. Very nice! Now can we see what's on the other wall please? sure (mostly SA, but some Gold there as well) 4 ft break downs: (left) (right)

  17. Very impressive, Rick! Thanks for sharing.
  18. here's a fun little GA group shot from this past weekend's convention
  19. I was comparing it to my 6.0 copy and it looked spot on... maybe even a little bit nicer... now if only I can buy it
  20. you bet... I told him 6.0 and that's what cgc said...heritage also said 6.0 so looks like 3 for 3
  21. Thanks 100% to this thread!! i can tell you that the new owner of the recent heritage copy bought so 100% independent of this thread. He had me on site submit the book for grading here at megacon (results tomorrow I guess) and he doesn't have a clue about this thread. So maybe only 99% I'm very curious as to the outcome of this book. I'm guessing by the scan a very solid 6.0 and maybe even a 6.5 crmow. 6.0 ...
