  1. Man I used to top that list every week. I've got to start drinking more again. I thought I had no life for some of us, it is a choice
  2. so I was bored and wanted to hit some threads I never had... I found this one most interesting top authors during last week: Name Posts r1970d 310 RockMyAmadeus 182 The_Black_Hand 131 seanfingh 120 DrWatson 108 tth2 103 Flaming_Telepath 96 Boozad 91 Bosco685 90 ... G.A.tor 88
  3. you know, that is what I just emailed to another perspective buyer... I would have to have at least 6501 to end the auction Sounds like someone thinks like I do. I'm watching it as well. You just never know who may bid on this baby. that is the only "concern " I have...if I close the auction and sell then one might never know who was watching and what they might bid....but folks could also not bid for whatever reason and the auction close lower than offers

  5. I did get a 6500 offer to end the auction, so I am considering that
  6. real nice 6.5 ow on ebay right now
  7. Nice! I was soooo close to hitting the BIN for that. It was going to be my first big silver age purchase, but I just wasn't ready for tht large of an outlay. You got that book for a STEAL. A 6.5 Blue Label for $5,000.00 That truly was the buy of the month. Please post scans as soon as you get it. I believe it was raw, but I might be mistaken
  8. bunky is rocking the centaurs today
  9. That's a scarce club....I was a short timer in it... I have been in it a few times, but alas, not for very long...I personally like 5.0 as my 'sweet" spot...higher than that are good for selling
  10. May have been the case for the buyer but there were many others that would have spotted it's potential and bid against him accordingly. Anything advertised as unpressed, as the mound city books were, will be reviewed very carefully for potential. Some were successful in getting upgrades after pressing others didn't. (thumbs u
  11. just goes to show you that pq is not always "accurate", even from cgc... that is why folks that focus too much on it, really are "missing the boat" on some great books, imo
  12. I don't believe CL owns the book...
  13. yup, saw it in the main forum and it is simply gorgeous....I don't think it is a press and resub based on the data. The number of 9.2 and 9.4 didn't change in the last 3 months. If it is indeed a fresh newly discovered book, where has it been hiding all these years. mound city?
  14. looks just like the mound city copy to me...former 9.4
  15. I sold a cgc 6.5 (not as nice as the one I currently have) for like $6K a year ago... I have a nicer one today I want 7K for...so, seems like 3800 to 5K (remember, that is just asking) is "reasonable" (thumbs u
  16. sorry gary, BZ and I are working out a deal for me to purchase his entire comic collection at pennies on the $ , so he hasn't had time to post... about time you switched from your usual dollars on the penny philosophy. Even at 30,000 feet (on a plane to vegas right now), that's pretty danged funny a rare day for parker to be "off"
